In New Guinea, pointing at your wrist means you're looking for a good time with a cheap hooker.

damn, i need to put new guiena on my list of places to visit...

When you get there, ask for Judy...point at your wrist and tell her you want the blue plate special.

Man you guys got me rolling here!

Here's a good one:

Me bedecked in Blockbuster uniform and someone asks: "Do you work here?"

I'm like nope, I just like the clothes!

LOL!

Same thing...I just wear this name tag and uniform to fit in  I don't think so

How about when they wake you up from sleeping and THEN ask you if you were sleeping. No, I ALWAYS snore when I am wide awake. lol

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

I worked at Disney World. My uniform was purple pants with pink stripes down the side, and a turquoise shirt with one pink and one orange sleeve and a red color. Plus I had a name tag with Mickey Mouse on it. And people still asked me if I worked there.

The good news is that at Disney people expect the workers to joke with the guests, so we frequently did answer "No, ma'am, I just like to dress like this."

That said, I frequently stop at Target after work and I admit I often still have my ID on (it hangs from a chain around my neck). However, I always wear a suit to work and I have to wear muted colors, so I'm usually wearing mostly black or brown with shades of blue, green, pink, etc. I never, ever, ever wear red. All Target employees wear red shirts and pin-on name tags. And yet, I get asked by another Target customer whether I work there, on average, every third or fourth trip.

I've had the opposite happen... somebody (usually an older woman) will start asking me where a certain product is, and I'm just a shopper like her. I don't know if its my friendly face or all those years of working in retail has left a permanent, flashing sign over my head (I work here).

One thing I hate about everyone....

1. They breathe.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

so funny!!! mine isn't funny but, this only really pertains to me (and people like me) but when i'm at a counter and someone is taking my name for some reason. and they say, "what is your last name?" and i tell them and they say, " NO! your LAST NAME." and look at me like i'm the idiot. i have a first name as a last name. doesn't mean i am stupid and can't tell the difference in which one to give you.

Yikes! I've done that a number of times and I always feel embarrassed. Like I'm some idiot.

I usually ask people that I think work there, not shoppers, but actually they work for some other company and are just putting their products on the shelves or whatever they're doing, and they always answer something like ''i don't work here, I work for this or that company'' :P
