My fiance finally got a call from the embassy after her interview from 6 months ago, they said she was cleared. The guy said she was taking a risk because everything is closed. So he asked if she wanted the visa now or to wait. She said she wanted to wait until things got better. The question is, did she just mess everything up and now basically everything got thrown away?

Everything is not thrown away.   However, she will have to have another medical exam, and possibly other documents......and possibly another interview.

I don't think she messed anything up. A note will just be put on her file stating that she was approved and chose to wait for the pandemic to slow down, maybe she will be asked for another medical exam and that's just all it will take.

I would have taken it and booked a flight to the US the next day. It’s really weird they Gave her a choice.

Agree.  I would have taken it now if travel could be arranged before expiration of the visa/medical.

Maybe........but the consulate has the option of asking for other documents and another interview.

In either situation,  a new medical is required so I am certain they wanted to be certain the visa could be used

YMMV

If the interview was 6 months ago chances are that the medical has expired already, so whenever she feels safe to fly she can call the embassy, then schedule another medical and hopefully get the visa in hand shortly after. It would be strange if they give her an option, only to schedule another interview if she takes the option?

Because calling the embassy is so easy? I’ve been trying to call them and can’t get a person !

Is there another number to call them? Maybe a direct number?

No, there are times to call /use to be 2 to 4 Morocco time but u will only get a voice mail

the best way now is to email embassy and ask for the document she will need to schedule the medical and take to the exam

acscasablanca@state.gov.   there is a Morocco # 0522-64-20-99 but is suppose to be for emergencies

BTW,  since the embassy called her  she would have # on her cell to return a call / have her check her phone

when the medical is done,  she should email and say she is ready for the visa as they said she was approved

Casa has not been asking for new criminal reports or new interview when they say approved

I would have taken it. Flights are getting back to normal pretty quickly. Back in March and April flights domestically were like a ghost town, I flew with 6-10 people on a plane. Just this past Thursday on a 6am flight to Denver was packed. Coming back was actually overbooked. Walk into Denver airport and you would think covid, what covid.
