Interview at US embassy today

Hi everyone! This is not a question but I think a lot may be wondering (like I was for how many months) about the embassy situation. I'd like to share my experience.

I had my interview earlier and there were mostly IR1 and CR1 there. I said mostly because one of them was an EB3 (that's what she said) and another also said it's for work. So I guess they are prioritizing spousal visas for now but exempting some.

But here's the funny thing. Most of my co-applicants have their medical expiry on January 2021 which means they just had their medical! They did not mention any redoing of medical so they might have just gotten it. I don't know how the embassy does this but I had my medical last March and just got called last June and last wk (I felt it was unfair? I only have a little over a month left!). So maybe anyone here would like to call them for that.

Anyways, that's all I can share for now. 😊 Again, this is just my experience.

I already had my medical last March cause my interview was supposedly March 23rd. So I was able to do medical before the lockdown but not my interview.

Are they actually interviewing people though, or just checking paperwork  and giving VISAs?

Title of the thread says it all

YMMV

Why don't you let him answer rather than giving a snide remark

Again...why don't you wait until he answers...no one is asking for your opinion...

People are commenting that the embassy is just shuffling people through without even interviewing

You clearly the type who likes to just throw your opinion out there just to be putting it out there...I will wait on his input if he provides

In another thread @Maria Donna said she showed her expedite acceptance email to St Luke's and was able to do her medical. Then she emailed the embassy many times telling them her medical was complete and they got back to her in 2 days and scheduled an interview.

Not opinion, but an assessment of the facts as provided by the OP

YMMV

People do medical now before they can get scheduled for an interview since the embassy won't schedule an interview unless one has completed all the requirements. It's a risk that people take, and while many has succeeded, it is not guaranteed and not recommended for everyone.
