Medical reports are valid for three (3) or six (6) months from the date of examination, depending on the examination results.

All PP exams (K-1, IR-1, F2A, etc.) are subject to that part for visa expiration date purposeshttps://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/medical-examination-faqs.html

Medical examinations are valid for 6 months for individuals with the following conditions:

  • No Class (i.e., No Apparent Defect, Disease, or Disability)
  • Class A Other than TB
  • Class B2 Latent TB Infection (LTBI)
  • Class B3 TB (Contact Evaluation)
  • Class B, all except TB, including specific Class B conditions
  • Class B Other conditions

Medical examinations are valid for 3 months for individuals with the following conditions:

  • Class A TB with Waiver
  • Class B1 TB, Pulmonary
  • Class B1 TB, Extrapulmonary
  • HIV infection

Can't be more than 60 days older than the date of I-485 filinghttps://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4 "The civil surgeon signs Form I-693 no more than 60 days before the applicant files the underlying benefit application with USCIS"

If the I-485 is filed within 1 year of the foreign medical (and the foreign medical didn't reveal a Class A medical condition) then it's still valid; i.e. it doesn't matter when I-485 interview takes place: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-3 "K and V nonimmigrants applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical examination if the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical examination"

You aren't a "K or V" AOS applicant, thus you can't use the CR-1 medical for AOS purposes.

All correct. Key points:

  • The 60 days is prior to the form being filed. The form is generally filed alongside the I-485 (but can also be provided  in response to an RFE or at the interview).
  • For a K-1, if the I-485 is filed within 1 year of the exam, then it remains valid.
    • This does not explicitly mean a new medical cannot be requested...an IO can still request a new one. But it's not required and ordinarily not requested unless they have reason to suspect a medical inadmissibility

The exam can't be more than 60 days older than the date of filing the underlying petition, which is the I-130.

The date of filing the petition doesn't matter. The I-693 has nothing to do with the petition. One could file the petition in January but not file the I-485 until July (or a year or more later)...there is no requirement to do concurrent filing (and in actuality, concurrent filing is only allowed in certain cases).

The I-693 would need to be signed within 60 days of the I-485 being submitted to qualify for the 2 year validity.

If the I-693 is not provided with the I-485, they should expect to get a notice of deficiency. The notice will state that they are to provide a valid I-693 at the interview, or if the interview is waived (generally does not apply in the OP's case), then an RFE will be issued for it.

But can I take it to the interview? In this case, I have to do the exam within 60 days before the interview? I'm confused with this part.

you can take it to the interview but the date the physician signed has to be with the 60 day window of the interview date.

If done now, it's also valid for 2 years: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4

Form I-693 Submitted to USCIS On or After November 1, 2018

When did civil surgeon sign?

I-693 retains evidentiary value through

No more than 60 days before applicant filed underlying benefit application with USCIS

2 years from date civil surgeon signed I-693

After applicant filed benefit application with USCIS

2 years from date civil surgeon signed I-693

More than 60 days before applicant filed benefit application with USCIS

N/A – I-693 not valid at time applicant submits I-693 to USCIS

Completed I-693 can be older than 60 days of when I-693 is submitted to USCIS; see middle row of chart above. Completed I-693 can't be more than 60 days older than the date of I-485 filing. Just clarifying since I noticed you "reacted" to James's post above.

Thanks...I actually wasn't aware that the 2 year validity was maintained after filing still. Good to know.

This is incorrect. The 60 day stipulation is saying that you can't do your medical more than 60 days BEFORE you file your i-485.

Only if you happen to understand the process. you dont have to file I-693 along with I-485. You can submit it later

I would hold from submiting I-693. It is valid for 60days for submission, and for 2 years since the date of submission.

However, more then often some cases can take years if you live in heavily backlogged areas, so these days it's not a good idea to submit it with your I-485 package.

If you don't submit it at the time of filing, you will likely get a yellow notice from USCIS that says your I-693 is missing and that you will have to bring it at your interview and not send anything at this time.  As @HRQX said, this is not an RFE
