Hi I got a message in early may all my documents were accepted and wait for interview at the Bangkok USA embassy. Am I suppose to wait for a email with information where I need to get the biometrics done with the interview date next? My wife is a thai citizen and im USA so just wondering as its been 2 months but with the current pandemic I am sure there will be delays, although the cases in Thailand are very low compared to here.

Yes, you need to wait for an email with the interview date. Your wife will receive it. The time it takes to get an interview date depends on how many cases there are in your country, so for some it may take only a few days, for others it could take months. That was before coronavirus, so now because of embassies being closed who knows how long you would have to wait. Some embassies are opening, but I don’t know about Thailand. You should check with other people from Thailand to see when they were DQ and if they are receiving interview dates or not yet :)

when i get the interview scheduled it will update on the CEAC login website right?
https://ceac.state.gov/IV/
thats where I uploaded all the documents that were accepted etc.

Also I need to wait for the email to then schedule the  biometric stuff for the hospital documents I need right? Or can I do this before?

I think the website is only updated when the embassy has your file, so the status changes to ready and the ceac website says “at Bangkok embassy” for example. But it won’t show the date and time of the interview.
your wife will receive an email that will say the date and time for her visa interview, and the next steps, like getting the medical, register to say where you want the passport to be delivered, etc. You have to do all of those things after the interview letter, you can’t do them before or you run the risk of the medical to expire if you do it too early, because you don’t know how long it will take for the interview. So it’s best to wait and do it close to the date of the interview. Also some places don’t let you book the medical without the interview letter, they ask your for it. I’m not sure how it is for your embassy, but for me, the fingerprints were taken the day of my interview. And I had my medical like two weeks before. So then I had a long time to use my visa in case of any delays (issued in February and valid until end of July).

so for now you can only wait for the interview letter, and get and organize the documents you need to bring to the interview and medical appointment, and any extras you would like to bring :)
