I was wondering if it was just your local office basically 'checking their work' by holding these late interviews - maybe someone in charge there has taken a specific interpretation of the internal guidelines.

I've been checking my online status every weekday and nothing has changed from the Milwaukee local office for me - status still says card delivered and no sign of a scheduled interview.

I don't understand it, but good for you! I would not be surprised at this point once we walk in the door and sit down in front of the IO, they will ask, what are you doing here, your GC is already approved!!!!

Well the plot thickens! As I was doing last minute checks on all my documents I noticed I had 2 voicemails. They were both from the same lady at the Dallas office saying I do NOT need to attend the interview tomorrow and the interview was scheduled in error!! 🤯 @Sarge2155 @yoda one for me

My head is spinning lol! It sounded legit, she gave the last 3 digits of my A number too. She said if I'm still skeptical I can go to the office tomorrow and ask to see her. The second voicemail though specifically told me I should not attend as it is a mistake. I did try to call the number back but it said the number wasn't operational @Sarge2155

What the... what are you going to do? We have gotten no word other than attend the interview. I would recommend that to be safe, if you don't get something definite or that you trust I would still show up, better safe than sorry. That's  what I'm going to do. We have not gotten any calls yet. I would prefer  it it writing anyway. I have become leery of USCIS. However, I do fully expect to be told it was a mistake once  I'm at the local office!

She did say she has updated my online account back to Green Card mailed. I have been checking every 5 minutes since but it hasn't updated yet. If it hasn't updated by tomorrow morning we will head to the interview as planned and I'll ask to speak with her as she suggested. To make things worse it is our daughters birthday tomorrow so ideally we need to know what's bloody going on! 🤣

Wow, this is crazy and I'm definitely following this thread. I hope everything goes OK and it's a good decision to go to the appointment.

The government never ceases to amaze me with how their process varies by employee. It took our DMV 6 hours today because they didn't want to accept combo card as ID for a drivers license. The fun just never ends lol.

Well this is it the mailman has already ran and no NOA cancelling our interview, so it's for sure we will be going and at least attempting to attend the scheduled interview tomorrow 8/6 at 0850. I'll be sure to update everyone once the dust clears tomorrow. Well at least I got a day off work LOL!!!!!

I did not go to the interview as my account had updated back to Green card received that morning. If that had not happened I would've attended.

@Sarge2155 I'm assuming you would have gotten a call by now about tomorrow. This has all been so weird.
