I'll reiterate a Simpsons analogy:

 

It's like Bart and Lisa going "can we have a pool dad" a million times, with Homer saying no and eventually saying yes after getting bombarded with enough cognitive dissonance he just stops wanting to fight.

 

The person writing the book is just someone trying to make money off it, and why not? Milk 'em for every cent. 

 

The left, the political class, media, and so on are really upset they're not getting their way, so they're hoping a slow-drip and repeated hysteria movements will artificially put enough cognitive dissonance in the heads of people that they'll just keel over and give them their way. In some ways, it might be a working strategy (if barely), but comically enough, rationality would've been far more effective.

I don't see the point of bickering when decisions affect us all the same. I guess I am becoming more of a cynic now, but all this division seems useless to me. We know that there is not one man at the top making the calls, but big money. And when I say big money, I don't mean Jeff Bezos.

I think we could all agree that we (you and me, and everyone reading in this forum) have way more in common than what we have in common with the top 400 that really call the shots here. Which is nothing other than we're humans, really.
It is scary how we can become violent and disrespectful towards someone who is one of us over something that neither has any control over.

 

We should all see past that and stop fighting against each other to fight the real fight: the one against inequality...

You're trying to direct us on our "divisions" toward Bezos. I'm not against going after Bezos, but from the populace's perspective, how do you get from the things occurring right in front of them to "Bezos"? There needs to be a connection.

Great post. All these rioters that are that killing, destroying property, burning down the neighborhoods of the economically disadvantaged is disturbing.  All the physical attacks on people just for disagreeing with them is sicking. All in the name of equality and social justice. Yet not one voice lifted up for the 1000's of young black men gunned down every year by other young black men.

Oh no, not at all... I am just stating this (and apologies if I were not clear):

Rather than bicker over politics, we should be more concerned about inequality, as that affect us all the same.

 

As for Bezos, most tend to think about him as "super rich..." when whatever he has is only a drop in the ocean of what the very small number of super rich have.

 

It's useless for us to bicker when we have more in common between each other than what we could have in common with those really making the decisions.

 

I guess I was not clear in my initial comment. In a nutshell: pointless to bicker over politics (dems better than reps, reps better than dems sort of thing), let's address inequality.

The abstraction of "inequality" is one of the most commonly used methodologies of division. That's why I suggest showing "how" rather than "what/who".
