There are few who have stayed as long as I after incarceration, that is for sure.  Though one might question who, between us, did more time back in the day...

back in the day for sure. However once I got the mods conditioned and founded the Platinum club, thats all behind me.

I also stopped giving in to certain bad  influences that encouraged me to do things that got me in the joint.😄

You got a point. I really want to upvote him its work not to. I do distinctly remember you telling VOR wife, he needed the Platinum plan way more than I do.

Back in the day, there was a show called the Andy Griffith show. Mayberry, Barney Fife etc. Otis was the town drunk. He would get drunk and come to Andy's jail and sleep in his cell.

Oddly enough he was the only married person on the show

I have vague memories of Andy Griffith -- my grandparents had VHS tapes of it and I remember watching it with them. Their big thing was that it was shot quite close to where their house was. There are still some studios there but the backlot is gone. How weird to think that little town was actually nearer to me than to you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RKO_Forty_Acres

What is really funny is that I grew up on that show because they used to play it every single day on a local station. So my father would have that on every day at 5pm and if it wasn't on when he got home then he turned it on. I am very well acquainted with that show. Also the town where Mayberry is based on is only a hour away from where I lived.

Yeah it was all shot in a studio. Mayberry is based Mount Airy NC. Neat little town. I have been there

Neat area of the state. I was serious about Otis. He was the only married regular on the show. Got drunk and locked himself in Jail every night

In addition, word had it that the only actor on the show with a "residuals" clause in his contract was the guy who played Otis.  He might have been wealthier than the chief stars, for a few years.

It's been quite awhile now since we were discussing hospital overwhelmedness, so I thought I'd share today's numbers:

17,254 beds available.  43,609 in use (2,104 are covid patients, down from the original 9,000 plus and the 7,145 above) 28.3% available. <<< 955 more beds total as compared to 7 Aug>>>

If you take the 955 beds out of the equation, that would put today's hospital load with 26.8% available beds.  Not really all that much different than when covid was a raging fire in Florida.  My postulation that the hospitals were nowhere near being overrun by covid still stands.

Three weeks later...

17,181 beds available.  43,684 in use (2,006 covid patients).  Overall bed usage and availability remain fairly constant.  Glad to see the low number of covid patients here in FL for a change.
