Agreeing doesn't really make something factual. It seems 9 out 10 "news" articles I see that talks about beds/numbers winds up talking about "estimates" or other mental math games that are clearly deceptive for a reason. There's no reason to contrive "estimates" when hospitals actually count and report their capacity. What VOC is citing is a reporting system that simply reports what the hospitals do. This is accurate.

Capacity increases and decreases based on demand. Several governors stated this, one of those being the Florida governor. So # of beds isn't static. Whether it's because they "took beds from other areas" or "added beds" is irrelevant. This is done in operations on a regular basis. If Product A has 10 machines putting out 900 products per day each and are operating at 90% capacity, their actual capacity is 10,000. If they decide to import 5 machines from another department/product with the same capacity and produce the same amount per machine, they'd still be at 90% capacity. No one would use the "Yahoo Math" to say its at 135% capacity.

so we good with CDC death and Dept of health death numbers now? Yahoo math. LOL

Maybe you can explain why I should trust anyone that gives me a capacity % based on the number of occupied beds at the end of July vs. the capacity of July 4th. I'll wait.

You gave me a brain freeze with your production capcity werd problem. I will concede whatever point you are trying to make if I dont have to try and think that hard again.

Btw I spent over 30 years in production planning and management.  15 years of it  was mining and processing Kaolin which I am guessing some of you never heard of.

There is rated capcity but in the real world you use actual capcity, or practicaly determined capcity. Which puts 100% at a average over a given time. Then you got to factor your human capacity which takes in things like attendance, labor rate, equivalent man power etc.

The capacity in this sense is no different than the most basic understanding of production capacity. They're talking beds, and occupied beds. It's as simplistic as capacity gets. Occupied beds / Total beds = Percent occupied. Total beds is capacity, percent occupied is % capacity. These things are calculated on the same day. What would be the point of measuring occupied beds in one day versus the capacity on another? I know the answer, we'll see if you can figure it out.

I give up. Tell me.

A poster posted the stats of one day vs the other. Ask him.

"Is I will wait" the chest equivalent of Per my last email ? 😁

Of course I have heard of kaolin! It's really great in facial masks for drawing out impurities and reducing sebum.

No one with half a brain would try and use an output from one day versus the capacity of another and come up with a utilization metric, it's completely irrelevant, and nonsensical. It's like telling someone their car's oil is running low by taking the dipstick and putting it in their ###. Maybe that analogy helps.

In politics though, I suppose this methodology has promise, but it's not any smarter, or intellectually honest for the many who I assume are smart yet invoking this.

So we can all agree moving foward the CDC and florida health dept numbers are now accurate?

If you think that Miami-Dade ICU usage of 146% in your link is the same usage of 90.8% in my link, then sure, what you posted is as accurate as what I posted.  Just like 173 deaths is the same as 78 (updated) deaths on the 23rd.  It's all the same, minus the intended narrative.

It is so nice when people understand not only the math, but the attempted narrative push.  "Yahoo math".... funnier, but not nearly as debilitating as "common core".

If its ok to address you directly instead of your lawyer..Do you have a link to the 78 death toll count on the 23rd.

The same one I have been posting all along, the "Florida dashboard".  Just got updated tonight to 105 on the 23rd.

(Also, I don't have a lawyer, they are a waste of money.  But some people are bound to speak the truth, regardless of anyone's attempts to suppress their views.)

Ok I thought that is what you were using. You hover over the bar. There is a reason the bars fall  so sharply closer to todays chart. It explains it at the bottom, and I have explanded it already. So its steady climbing. So your number isnt 78 anymore. Lets revisit it about a week from know.

As for attempts to  suppress voices

A. I have no power over you or Burnts voice but thanks for the power trip.lol

B. This is an internet chat room for christ sake  not a revolution.

C. You guys get way way too worked up about this and take VJ way too serious. I told you both that several days ago when I was not de bro'ed

D. Peace and love to you both. Lets just chill ok

And yet YOU are the ONLY PERSON in this thread who is arguing over every single stat (note: not OPINIONS, just raw numbers) that people post, and trying to push "trends" narratives onto all posters, or "scam/hoax" narratives, when NO ONE in this thread except YOU has ever said such (minus my use of the term scamDEMic which you seem not to completely grasp).

I realize it isn't easy to get to the actual truth during this mess.  But you SHOULD be able to realize it is somewhere between what we see daily on the MSM and what is actually happening. First came the lame impeachment attempt, then came the attempt to destroy the economy using covid.  It's more about discrediting the president than it is about the virus.  The dems said years ago that they would gladly destroy the US economy in order to remove him from power.
