I am preparing to file the 485 and wondering what the full fee is?  Some say the biometric fee is included in the $1140 and others say you must pay the full $1225 - that Oregon is one of the states that is contesting the fee?

Anyone just pay the $1140 and still get an interview?

1225.

If you only send 1140, your package won't even be accepted and it will be returned.

We FINALLY have an appointment at Homeland Security!  10 months to the day after filing the 485 and 765!  It has been a long haul!  Has anyone noted any significant changes in procedures or processing since last year??

This gives me both a little bit of hope and also a little bit of despair. I’m hoping they are able to get through biometric backlogs faster than adjudication. We applied in April, still no biometric appointment.

Well, I dunno if it helps or hurts, but here we are 3 months later after the biometric appointment and NOTHING has happened...  No appointment  for green card, no EAD or AP acknowledgement or permission - nothing...  This is RIDICULOUS waiting for my perfectly capable husband to be able to work and there are jobs just passing him by..

Have you tried filing an inquiry for the AP/EAD?it seems like you are out of normal processing time on that...

Oh, never mind, you have to wait a year, it looks like. :(

We received NOA1 in Feb 2021 (a month before you) and, in checking your timeline, you have received your EAD/AP 2 months ago??  I am  happy for you, but SO BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!

There is no reason that my husband should be held up - we have zero complications in our case.  We are trying to buy a home and would like to go back to Jamaica to visit his family.  There is no risk.  There is no reason that we should be held back like this.

Yeah, that's why I was surprised you hadn't gotten yours yet. We did bio at Yakima, WA and not Portland so that sped that part up a bit. But no one has reported an interview at Portland since July or so, so I wonder what's going on there.

Gah!  Makes me want to move to a small town for 6 months to knock this out!

Regarding reported interviews in Portland - do you mean you haven't seen anyone on VJ reporting/reviewing interviews or do you have some access to Portland's specific statistics?

Yeah it's super tempting to move to a place where the interviews happen quickly. :( And i think that even waiting out Portland won't push us past the 2 years of marriage mark to avoid ROC later.

Yeah, i just mean no one's updated an interview on the timelines here. So I don't know if people are interviewing and just not updating their timeline, or if everyone is really still waiting...
