Wiz is referring to the drive thru food porn available on the little video stand while you wait behind the guy ordering :) Slow-mo of creamy rich icing drizzling onto the naked donuts who look so happy, thick layers of creamcheese being lovingly spread on the bagel.....phew, oops.....sorry, must compose myself here

Ahem, so yes...that is the bagel porn

As my Tims experience grows here in RI, I have had about 4 large coffes so far, and only 1 has tasted close to what I expect!! Will get my fill in Saskatoon--28 june to 24 july, then back to BC for another holiday/wedding 19 to 26 Aug!! More Tim hortons time!! I'm glad my wife supports my addiction, sure would miss her otherwise! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

i was born and raised in Prince albert!! Was a great place to grow up!! Dont think I could say that now. Last yr when i stopped by, was pretty run down, looked soo dirty!!! Which is pretty sad.

Yes it looks pretty sad, but as I recall it was always a little dirty......when you walk down the viaduct to central ave downtown...it's like time has stood still...We went into Davidners Western Wear on River street, and he still has some stuff in there that was there in the 60's....it's kind of creepy there, but my Mom still lives there, and as long as she does, I will be visiting there every year.....and hey they have Timmies and Boston Pizza...so I"m good to go :D

Some areas were pretty dirty, but i always felt safe. Sure didnt feel that way last yr!! Even the area around carlton high school was very dirty, and those duplex's from the carlton area towards Kinsmen rink were VERY worn down!! Most of my family has departed the area, but will stil be making a trip to PA. I graduated Carlton in 1991. Scott

with the maximum security Pen there, I never felt very safe...I remember when I was young, a couple of inmates escaped and everyone was in a panic. I graduated from PACI, long before Carleton was built.....My Mom still lives in the same house on 28 st west....it has really changed since I left, but when I am there it seems just the same as the day I left....

I went to PACI fort grades 8&9, loved that school!!! PA is a city of jails, the Pen, a womens jail and the correctional centre, lol Pulp mill is now closed! I only have a uncle in PA now!! Grandma used to have a farm north of PA--Paddockwood, but she is off it now. Lot of great memories of PA.

We had a farm just north of PA at White Star.....nothing much there now....but I remember going to Paddockwood for the Saturday Night Dances....they were wild.....I loved PACI as well, but when I went there it was grades 9 to 12....the big rival school was Riverside...but I don't think that school is still open. I love all the heritage homes there. When I was back last year I took my hubby ( a born and raised Minnesotan) to see Diefenbaker's house....really cool, but he said *who was John Diefenbaker?* Love those Americans..so up on world history..... ;)....but to his credit, after being in Canada, he shares our addiction to Timmies and can't wait to go back to get some :D...So funny that most people can't wait to get out of Saskatchewan, but I just love it there and would go back if there was a chance to.

I would move to saskatoon, or a farm outside of stoon or PA. Not sure the status of Riverside, was open while I was there, but you may be correct. Im home for just under a month, and will spend a day or two in PA. I know where White Star is!!!

So monday morn I cant sleep--clock reads 0200, decide to get up and get on the road! Leave my poor anna dog with the inlaws, was hard to do, but she will have lots of play time with their beagles (hopefully) Around 0300 pul lup at the Timmies which ahs been open for about 3 months now in Newport RI. Only the drive thru is open at that hour, nice chap working the window. Hand him my Tim Hortons Thermos, he asks what do they normally charge for that? I stated, last time I used it was in Canada and was around $3?? He figured I must be from canada as they dont sell them down here (maybe it was my superior good looks, lol) So we started chatting, business was pretty slow, but he stated it takes about 5 yrs for Timmies to make a solid presence in a new market. Timmies has only been in RI for maybe 3 yrs now, and that they do plan on expanding more into the USA. Who knows what he said was true, but he was a nice chap.

Overall the Timmies coffee I had in RI was acceptable, BUT no where near Canada standards, I hang my head in shame as I type this, but in RI would prefer a Dunkins coffee!! Please forgive me as I have tried to accept timmies in RI, but just isnt that special!! lol Oh well i depart bright and early this Thursday for Saskatoon and the real Tims awaits me! Hoem for nearly a month, and then back again in late august (19-26) Stay a few days in Victoria/vancouver, and then my sisters wedding in Kamloops aug 25!! Cheers
