K1 and Current Employment (Future Start Date)

Hello,

I just began the process of filing for the K1, and I had a question regarding the employment history portion of the paperwork. It is noted that "current employment," should be provided first, however as a recent university graduate I am set to begin my full time job on August 7th. The contract for the aforementioned job was signed months ago if that is of any importance. The only verifiable employment I had previous to this upcoming job was an internship for that same corporation/role. Should I list my "current" job with a future start date of August 7th, or should I only file my internship as past employment and leave current employment blank? Presuming I do the latter, would that create any complications or uncertainty with respect to how the immigration officer might view my future income and ability to sponsor? As a disclaimer, I will be paid a very generous salary which I know will circumvent any actual issues regarding finances and sponsorship. Nonetheless, I am partially concerned that not declaring current employment could create a negative perception which may jeopardize my application before proof of income, etc. further into the process.

I also have contractual paperwork attesting to my start date and guaranteed salary which I can include as an addendum if I were to list my future start date in place of current employment. With that being said, I am not entirely sure how necessary that would be or if it would provide any advantage this early.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice.

Current means the job you have when you send in the paperwork.

Your job (status) doesn't matter when filing the I-129F.  It matters when the fiance takes the I-134 to the interview.
