I did the form with Andrew for my medical ftom Monday still haven't received my medical date...😏😏😏😏

Others have received their date so maybe they're going thru the list. You can call Andrews if you're concerned. Ask for US Medical, when transfered press option 5. They're very responsive.

I just call them they said my name is not on the list or they don't received my name. If I don't get a date before my interview I must still go to the interview... just feel so unlucky and incomplete in this process right now.

Don't worry most of us got that same response. Call again on Monday if you haven't heard anything. Embassy is slow to send over names 🤦🏾‍♀️ I didn't get mine till 3 or 4 days after and remember Monday was a holiday.

Will wait till Monday when I check ceac state application is at Kingston.. When I check the other app it state in transit

I agree , I just called for my husband and I got the same reply. Will call back again on Monday or Tuesday.

Just got a call from embassy that my daughter's interview for next Tuesday is cancelled due to COVID!!!!!  Omg I'm beyond devastated for her.  I'm going to send an email to them to be sure this isn't a scam because the call didn't come from the Jamaica area code.  It came from an area code in Maryland.  I don't trust anyone!!  Has anyone else gotten a call?

Just saw on the embassy website this so it looks like it's true.  I knew once the election was done down there everything would be screwed up!

 

Due to changes in COVID-19 caseloads in Jamaica, the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Kingston will reduce consular services effective September 8.  Emergency American Citizen Services and limited visa services will continue.

U.S. Embassy Kingston has no higher priority than the safety and security of U.S. citizens who visit or reside in Jamaica.  U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance should contact the Embassy at (876) 702-6000 or at KingstonACS@state.gov.  If you need an emergency passport for urgent travel, please e-mail KingstonACS@state.gov with a copy of your travel itinerary and a request for an appointment.

If you have an immigrant visa appointment, the Consular Section will contact you when we resume routine service to reschedule your appointment.  If you have a nonimmigrant visa appointment, continue to monitor the appointment website for appointment availability.

  Just got an email from the embassy stating that my appointment has been canceled due to raise in COVID. They will contact me once they resume regular service.

I am so sorry to see these cancellations. I hope that all those directly affected will keep the faith. Let us pray together as a Visajourney family that the spike in Jamaica will cease soon and normalization will be restored. Let us do all that we can to keep ourselves and loved ones safe and not contribute to the current Covid-19 cases. I know it must be disheartening to be so close but so far away, please keep the faith as this is temporary and everyone will reunite with their loved ones soon.
