Maybe due to over scheduling!!!  If someone else got their interview and attended....it’s possible that they over scheduled! I hope that’s it.

Guess they're doing it on a case by case basis. Wonder how they choose? 🤔

Omg so sad. They probably had alot of interviews for that day. Base on the email, it said effective sept 8. So I guess moving forward if there is alot of appointments in one day they they'll only process like half and cancel  the other half then reschedule them.

They need to come up with a better strategy cancelling appointments is not the answer they already sitting behind a glass..can they do temperature checks for persons entering there buildings..airports are operating 24 -7 now..the virus is going to be here for a while..

That's what I was thinking too.

I completely agree, Or having the new date available as soon as they cancel.  We asked if we would have to re-register once we got our new date and they did not answer that.  Just that they would not be re-scheduling it this week.
InJamaica they already check temperatures and make you sanitize before entering any Building.  It’s not a suggestion,  it is required before going in anyplace.  I’m not sure how the spread is happening.

I’m truly sorry about your interview being cancelled. I know it’s sucks but  on the positive side of it, if your spouse travel after you guys  2 year wedding  anniversary they will get a 10 year green card  vs  now only to get get a 2 year green card  and having to go through another interview  and paying more fees down the line ( something I wish I was aware of). I’m praying you will get a reschedule interview  at the perfect time 🙏🏾.  It’s going to work on perfectly for you!

You are absolutely right. Nothing happens before it’s time.

Just an update from my post yesterday.

I the petitioner was the one that answered the call from the embassy yesterday. I explained to the person that I travelled and quarantined specifically for the interview and how disappointed I felt. Her response was that she’ll make a note that I’m currently visiting Jamaica and hopefully they will be able to reschedule before I leave.

Surprisingly the same person called back later to say she spoke to the chief and he gave the go ahead for us to still come in for the interview.

when we got there today they had a list out front with just about 10 people and they confirmed we were on the list. Got inside and just us and another person was there to be interviewed at that time.

All went well, Glory to God!! However the Medical is still pending for my husband (done August 28th). The CO explained the hospital have a backlog so now it’s taking about 3 weeks to be received.

They only took Original birth certificate, police cert, 1 passport pic and his passport.

Questions asked -  When did you meet, when did you get married, how often we saw each other and where will we be living.

So there are ways around the cancellation if you have a valid reason, and of course depending on how understanding the person from the embassy may be.

Congratulations..
