The tax transcripts are preferred. However, during today's Embassy FB Live session they said at times they request the W2s also, so if available, bring both.

Thanks, Stacey. I am not sure everyone in this group aware about this.  For those attended the interview recently, unfortunately they handed 221g to them because they need 2019 tax transcripts even they  have submitted tax return and it was approved and accepted by nvc.
I encourage everyone to make sure to carry copy of tax returns transcripts or 1040 with w/2  before the interview.

So sorry, wish you would have asked us prior to cause we would have advised you. The good thing is you can request the transcript online, receive it immediately if you can answer/provide all the verification info then email it to the embassy so it shouldn't take long to complete your case. If by mail, the transcript takes 5-10 days I think.

Yeah, the 2019 Transcript is a must. I heard the COs are drilling ppl for it tho they say they will take the W2 and 1040. I would encourage everyone to get the transcripts.

I might have missed this mentioned earlier in the thread, but do we still need to bring the ds 5540 form to the interview?

Also how many pp size photos do we truly need? Is it just the 4 for the medical or do we need to bring an additional 4 to the interview as well?

Good day, during this week's embassy live they said they haven't yet implemented the public charge form. According to the interview check list from the NVC site, 4 pictures are required for the interview. The medical also requires 4 with the first and last name written on the back.
