Doesn't look like anything's happening at the embassy. They have another consular conversations set for next week Wednesday so I guess that's when we'll get the next update on what's going on.

yes it was announced on facebook but its the same old story.  Nothing has changed

Yeah they always give some vague answers. I just don't understand why they can't just say "We're currently handling this DQ date for IR/CR cases and this DQ date for Family preference cases" that's all we're asking for so we can have an idea.  Other embassies do that and those embassies are from countries with bigger population so what's the issue?

I believe we need to target these questions to them once and for all.  It seems like that are deferring from these important issues and telling us what they feel like, that makes no sense

It’s because they know they have the power to do it trust me. Otherwise they would be more informative and keep us updated, I see someone saying other embassy’s abroad update their websites with where they are currently with DQ cases and what month they are currently doing. Ik our embassy in Jamaica can do the same but they have freedom and they give off this attitude as if they’re saying they do it how they want and whatever pace they want it’s just ridiculous I’m sure they can work out something but me saying this here will only inform you guys it’s not gonna change their approach. What I would suggest is testing your luck in trying to expedite that’s because this whole thing requires waiting but more waiting on top of waiting can be draining

yes I realized that things going at a slow pace. It was confirmed that they are doing 8 - 9 persons per day which includes a mix of expedite cases and regular immigrant cases.

That’s just disappointing, only 8 or 9 and some are expedited. There’s so many persons waiting and backed up in the back log! Wow that’s just unbelievable it’s like knowing you have rice to wash but you rather take it out 1 by 1 and wash them single single

It is so disappointing to know that this embassy can do better but chose to  rather have a backlog of thousands.  At their last forum, they advised those in waiting that if they were DQ this year, their waiting time would extend 6 - 12 months or longer..... In other words, don't look for an interview date this year... so sad!11

I did put an update that my hubby was approved on 3/31. Sorry if you didn’t see it. Visa should be ready Tuesday which took long due to the lockdowns and he should be here by Thursday.

what is going on with your case.

Blessed Sunday everyone. Hopefully these lockdowns will help curb covid cases and as more people are vaccinated the Embassy will begin processing more cases. Hang in there 🙏🏾❤.

I am sorry Kimisha, that text slipped me.  I am happy to hear that finally your hubby will be with you.

I submitted the police report last Tuesday.  Have not heard anything as yet.  I am not sure how long it takes for NVC to reply.

I wonder when they will start to get vaccinated so they can start getting back to work. They should be top priority for vaccinations.

Hey Guys, the below lawyer says that the US Embassy in Jamaica is doing DQ cases from May and June 2020. Hopefully this is accurate so you guys have an idea of where they are.
