Hi Everyone,

I started the process in Feb 2020 , and it is finally complete!

My husband had his interview on Wednesday and got Approved!!!! His appointment was for 8:30am and about 40 minutes later he called me.

He said he was told to stand by a door, after a while someone came out asked him what kind of filing he's there for, found his name (He said they had a long list of names),his passport, passport size photo, birth certificate and DS 260 Page.

After going thru security, he was given a number and told to sit in a waiting area. He then got called by a window he said by a Jamaican lady to complete his fingerprints and asked for his Birth Certificate, Marriage certificate, Passport and Police record. Then directed to sit and wait till his name got called. About 5-10 minutes he heard his name and went to the officer where he swear in.

Questions Asked:

-Who is filing for you?

-What's my name?

-Where does she live? He started giving my full address and he said the consular said he doesn't need all that, just the state and asked him where in that state.

-Has he ever been convicted? He said no, consular said he knows but he just had to ask.

-When last he spoke with me?

-When was the last time he saw me?

-What kind of work I do?

-Name of where I work?

-When did I migrate to the US?

-How long have we known each other?

-Has he ever travelled out of the country?

-Do we have any kids?

-How many people were at our wedding?

-Where was our wedding?  Officer mentioned that it was a good location for pictures and my husband offered to show him pictures, he started giving the officer page by page and he just told him to give him everything and just skipped thru it , he did ask who my flower girl was.

He was not asked for the Tax Transcript but you know every consular is different.

After everything he was told he is approved and given the domestic paper  and told he should receive his passport in 1-2 weeks and Good Luck. The interview is out in the open so you can hear the questions and answers from others. He said his officer was good compared to how he heard the others questioning others and wanted exact information such as the full address etc.

His CEAC status showed "Administrative Processing" for awhile, got worried and he said they didn't say they needed further information, but I just rechecked and it finally said ISSUE!!!!!!!

Just waiting for the call for him to pick up his documents.

This group has helped so much with the process and getting updates with how everything is going.

Congratulations. Did you register for premium courier service or pick up from CRSA documents Centre?

Thank you , I had registered to Pick up the documents (felt safer that way). I just read it takes about 3 business days for it be ready once they get it from the Consular section, so hopefully get it sometime this week. What did you register for?

Update: Today, I have received email for Pick up. I went to pick up center and showed my driving license. They returned back the stamped passport. No package will be given since everything is made online. We have to pay the fee through online before entering US.

Good day all,

Our interview was this morning at 8:00AM.

Upon arrival documents requested were the original appointment letter and new appointment letter, 2 passport pics and passport.

Inside at the first window, marriage certificate, birth certificate, citizen certificate and police record(s) were taken. My husband had a police record from Jamaica and Trinidad.

He waited for about 30 mins for the CO to call him for his interview. He was asked:

-The name of the petitioner and petitoner's daughter.
-Where does your wife live and with whom
-Questions about his previous visitor's visa application and why his wife wasn't listed as the person of reference
-Petitioner's previous joint sponsor Affidavit of support (I was a joint sponsor for someone in 2018)

-He was also asked to show pictures, mainly non-wedding pictures and they looked at our call log he provided

-Now, the CO began explaining to him that the document he presented as his Trinidad Police Certificate was not the original. They went back and forth about the validity of this for awhile, but unfortunately, my husband brought the letter referencing his police certificate BUT left the original certificate at home by mistake.

This is something he and I went over several times including Sunday and last night. I specifically reminded him to ensure he had the 3 documents sent from Trinidad for the police certificate and he assured me had it.

With that being said, they kept his passport and issued a 221g for the return of the original police certificate via courier service.

Let this be a lesson to you all not to take for granted that you have all the paperwork. Go over the interview checklist, double check, triple check and make 100% certain of this. Check again the night before your interview.

Do not allow there to be a delay on your case for something avoidable and within your control. We are in control of the documents we bring to the interview and how we answer questions. Hone in on that control because we cannot control how long it takes for administrative processing and I know none of you want to be in this predicament. I prepared with my husband mutiple times yet, he still faltered. I am disappointed and upset to say the least but, this too shall pass as I know it's something we can address and overcome.

We are now preparing to tackle this obstacle.

Anyway, sorry for the long text. Pity VJ doesn't have VN, but that woulda long too LOL.

Bless up everyone, I am still rooting and praying for us all 🙏🏾
