I was trying to hold out until our appt but I can’t... I’ve been alone with our now 12 month old twins for a year now... I’ve traveled to JA during the pandemic and while it’s not the best it’s not horrible either. For me the hardest part is traveling alone with 2 now toddlers. I pray this process begins to move for us all... soon and very soon. I think I’m just gonna bite the bullet and go for a few days late this month 😔

That's the thing, we don't know when this interview will come so we may just have to travel sigh

This process is becoming very frustrating , its like your so close but yet very far. I'm a shy person so I just read mainly thru the thread which as helped a lot with knowing what's going on with the process and the stages of where the Embassy is. So I don't know if my post will matter but seeing the recent conversations I'm like let me share my experience. My husband had an appt. for 9/22 , I wanted to attend , my job barely wanted me to leave due to it being busy with COVID , but I was given time off to go to JA, went to quarantine for the 14 days, I saw the conversations about appts being cancelled and part of me wanted to email them if the appt would still happen but I decided to wait and see. He did his medical 9/10 and 2 days after we receive the cancellation email. I sent them something letting them know this was the only time I was given to travel for the year due to my job and basically got a email saying the appts. going forward have been cancelled and regret any inconvenience. Husband emailed them without me knowing letting them know its getting me depressed and basically got the same response. I saw their FB Live at one point saying its good when the spouse is there at the interview. So I'm like ok I'm here let me email them again this was after the interview date past ,to see when would appointments be resumed because I saw they were doing K1(which I mentioned in the email) and I told them again this was the only time I am able to travel for the year and that I had to leave 10/3 and basically got back what's attached in the picture for that, so its really frustrating that some people didn't have theirs cancelled while the ones that were cancelled have to wait till however long. Right now seeing how the holidays are coming up I'm just thinking that's going to cause more delays. This process is driving me crazy I swear every ding I hear for my email I'm rushing to see if its them. Hopefully their few weeks means soon before it hits the holidays in November.

I'm so sorry to hear that, they say they are taking them case by case, they really should consider certain situations that peple are in. If you don't think you have a reason to expedite the only other thing I could advise you to do is speak to your local congreman,  sometimes they are able to help in certain immigration cases.  They helped my sister with her advance parole because it was taking awhile and they got it expedited. It may have helped prior to your interview since you would've been here in JA.  Since they are canceling alot of people it might not work to get a new interview date.  But I just thought about the congreman last night I'm going to contact mine as well when I get back.

Hi Stefan! You're still going to be able to do your medical and based on today's live they said they have a plan in place that will eliminate to need to cancel so you may be safe for your interview.

Hi Stacey and yes I was watching the live.. still have my fingers crossed though.   I hope all is well with you?

I know things has change since I been in July I didn’t have a bad experience. But try to get a early flight and being that you’re traveling with your babies hopefully they allow you to bypass the lines. I’m trying to hold off as well it get pretty expensive but if I don’t see anything come New Years I’m gone.

My experience was bad because first I did the PCR test from the Florida state and when I sent it they said they were not on the list which was weird to me because it was the state heath department. Then I did a second test and maybe the person was not good at it but when she push the swab in mi nose, blood just start pour out for hours. Then the results took about 10 days to come back and is only good for 10 days from the day you take the test so I was on borderline for them not to approve but they did since it was the last day then I had to book the ticket right away and when I went was not too bad. Long process from person to person there because coming from Florida which was the top 4 infected at the time. Otherwise okay in Jamaica, just to get there was a lot. Of course you have to quarantine because they lock on your phone at airport which is okay as I stayed in with the hubby and probably made a baby, lol. The thought of going through that again is alot but I may have to because its our 1 year anniversary next month and my birthday, etc

Oh wow, that was a lot. Especially the testing part. Damn the nurse must have ruptured something in your nasal passage. Incompetence....hate that. Yeah missing my boo and want to take a trip but trying to see wsup for this interview 1st, it may save me on the travel expenses.

I came when the boarders 1st opened on June 15th and experience was horrible..It took about 2-3 hrs to get out of the airport with all of the stations and all of the questions and doing the COVID-19 test there.  I have just travelled back to JA and I have been here for over 2 weeks now. The experience was much better. It moved quicker and they only tested the people that needed to be tested and moved along the people that didn't.   I believe if you say your staying at a hotel or in a "resilient corridors" the island there is a curfew and everything closes around 7pm. So just remember to get everything done early, that is about it. This change that Stacy Ann posted might make it even smoother to travel

Stefan I spoke to you directly because you brought it up today when this was put to bed last night.

We killed it and moved on last night, no need to irritate people and bring back peoples frustration today. That's why you have Steffy coming at you. just chill.
