So what phase are you? Cause in this phase we are waiting for our interview! Which is the last phase! Are you already with your husband?

Yes I landed in Texas on the 24th. It's the last phase of the visa journey yes, but still there will be removal of conditions in a couple years etc. since I was CR1.

U are so right , my husband was dq July 8 we got an interview date for October 2 which was canceled. I have a medical issue and I emailed them and explained my situation and that’s how they told him to come in and this was after multiply emails. One response said I need to contact NVC then another person called my husband. This doesn’t add up as far as the dates. Smh it’s just sad. Right now we still waiting on the medical to get to the embassy.

Hi @Dsb_datsme you don't have a timeline so remind us again what took place. You requested an expedite? When? How long ago was your interview? What was it like? Was the embassy busy? Questions asked, docs taken etc?

Good day guys.. I hope you guys are well despite the fact of the tribulations you’re facing with the cancellations. But just Gwan wul the faith guys when your loved ones touch down in the US you’ll forget and it’ll all be worth it.

Just came back to the states last week — was wondering if you guys had any idea how long it will take to receive the green card in the mail?

Thank you and congrats on your arrival to the US. 3-6 months I think. Not sure but Social in 3 weeks.

@Stacey Ann Was that you on the call ?

Yeah I called in, was trying to get clarity but of course vague as always. Hopefully we'll see action soon since their plan is in place and they're working through backlogs with no intention of future cancellations 🙏🏾🤞🏾

What they did say going forward they have made a plan to ensure everyone is safe and going forward no more interviews will be canceled. But the two gentlemen doesn’t work in the IV department so their not quite sure when the rescheduling will be. And it will be prioritized based on the case 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’m sorry I don’t even know how to set up this time line , however the interview was for my husband. His priority date was September 25, 2019. His i130 got approved June 4 2020, dq July 8. Interview was October 2 and medical September 24. The embassy sent an email canceling interview the same day as the medical. I emailed the embassy numerous times explaining my medical condition, I emailed Kingstoniv and appointments and I got back all generic replies at first then an actual person emailed saying to contact nvc if I wanted to be expedited. This seems as if it was a hassle and long process plus I had to get a letter from my doctor but fortunately my husband received a call from them the next day to come in oct 1. He said their wasnt a lot of plp just 2 others I think. They only took the police record and asked him a few questions.

1. When we met

2. Who proposed and when

3. If we had kids and age

4. when was the last time I went to Jamaica and how long I stayed.

5. How many times he came here to see me and how long he stayed.

I can’t remember what else but I think that’s it, they didn’t ask for any pics or no other paperwork . He also said it seems the officer was in training . They said they didn’t receive his medical yet, they cancelled his visitors visa and told him they will send the passport with courier service once medical is received and ok I guess. That’s where we at and that’s the entire process.  So We still waiting, I don’t consider nothing confirmed until he gets his passport back.

Oh the officer in training had a senior officer with her telling her what to ask so maybe they trying to increase staff.

Thank you for the detailed reply AND congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉 Albeit you're waiting for visa in hand. You're one huge step closer.

I heard they were onboarding new COs because some of the older ones are on final duty so this makes sense and could be another reason for the delays and cancellations. They want to get all the COs ramped up before bringing ppl back in mass.
