When we went through customs at LAX the CBP supervisor told my wife that her K-1 had now converted to a CR-1. I know what he meant. I just smiled and remained silent. Even the people who are supposed to know aren't really sure what the **** a K-1 is)))))  Seriously, I am surprised they just haven't done away with the K-1 and force people to marry and use the marriage related visas.

looking like that is the way it's going

I remember when we got a bogus RFE that delayed our case by 30 days. I was ready to man the ramparts) I can't imagine how I'd be dealing with this Covid mess if we were still waiting for an interview or initial USCIS processing. Hang in there everyone. This too shall pass.

mine took 6 years and i didn't go postal but it's hard and i did a lot of crying during this time

but this will end -when-who knows but surely we can all see the present administration does not care so we need to vote and know what we are voting for

here, there are new senate races and i am trying to learn about all the candidates to pick out the best

i am more afraid that if there is not a change the government  we are going to see a lot more EO's

I’m sorry that they have declined your expedite :( It depends on so many factors these days - if consular officers are on the post (many went home to be with family throughout the pandemic I assume), the corona situation in a specific country, travel restrictions, and so on... There won’t be a “one for all” solution and sadly we all have to be more patient...

Yeah, but I asked for expedite way before covid started.

It is very hard to take when you see ppl getting expedited for things all the time on VJ and we can't.

I know ppl will judge but I can't say in public why I tried to expedite, but it is for something a lot more serious than some of the reasons ppl report getting expedited easily for.

That's the thing:  everyone thinks their expedite request is equally serious, which is why the embassies and consulates have to carefully consider which ones really are....
