Hi everyone . We are still in the NVC process and our submission of documents are really on hold since I can’t obtain police clearance from the Philippines as of this time due to the pandemic. I am living abroad and to even get an appointment at the Phil embassy is impossible. My question is , Is the 1 year expiration in the NVC process starts when you have paid the fees? I am a bit in panic because it’s taking us so long to upload civil documents since I have no idea what am I doing. I have all the civil documents except for the nbi clearance which I can’t obtain right now. If it will take a while for me to upload documents in NVC , will I be in trouble for the 1 year expiration ? This is not so clear to me. Can anyone enlighten me please.  Thanks

Hi, we were in this situation due to a tax issue on my husbands side. It usually expires after 12 months of inactivity. Can you contact the NVC either by email or phone? I called them to ensure it wouldn't expire. It took us 14 months to get everything together so I feel your pain!

1 year from last time you logged in.  Relax, any time limit at NVC will not be an issue

YMMV

Thanks for the response. It may take awhile for me too since I need to get a police clearance from my birth country  and I am not residing there for almost 20 yrs now.
