Yes, really a guessing game. Hopefully this date will be true. I'm still waiting for an answer from the consulate as I sent a request to get my case expedited.

In another forums, some people got to talk to someone from a Center that help with interview and the agent have told them august 14. But the date is no 100% sure yet, the agent said there would be an announcement to come. But I don’t know if it’s official.

Which forum? Hopefully it’s going to start soon!

A forum for people who filed for CR1/R1 waiting for Montreal. Which form did you file? Maybe I can add you.

Would it be possible to add me as well? I’m waiting on a interview date for CR-1. This is definitely promising information I wouldn’t want to miss out on! :) Thanks!

Hey everyone, I can verify the August 14th date as well. My fiance called this morning and they also said interviews are cancelled until August 14th but will start rescheduling cancelled ones after that.

Me too! I just got off the phone and they told me the same thing, that the consulate is hoping to start in August

Absolutely amazing news! My case is still at NVC but hopefully once all the cancelled interviews are rescheduled, they can start sending our cases so we can get our P3s and P4s!

For those that spoke to MTL - did they say whether they are only processing certain visa types like CR1 or student visas?

no they didn’t say they just said that the cancelled appointments should be able to be rescheduled in august and to keep checking their website

When My fiancé asked them about K-1, they said all will start august 14th not just CR1 or student. Again I’d take it with a grain of salt since it’s just an estimated date but I’m hopeful based on the call because I was also listening while on facetime. I suggest you call too to get even more clarification

I know earlier in this post someone mentioned they got an email saying to get a new medical done if it’s expiring since they are not accepting it. Anyone who talked to the consulate on the phone asked about medicals? Mine is expiring end of July so if the August 14 date is true I’ll be needing a new one probably.

i didn’t ask them on the phone but i believe someone earlier on this thread emailed them about it and they said that yes if your medical expires before your new appointment you’ll need to get a new one unfortunately
