Now I'm afraid they're gonna shut down after reopening for a bit because of a potential second wave. Hopefully that doesn't happen

Thanks. Never knew Bout this website. Funny how the official Montreal website is not even updated at this time. Brutal....

Honestly, the lack of communication is just making things worse

i’ve read speculation in other threads about it being bc the border closure but that shouldn’t affect immigration right? Specially family based immigration

I was one of those that had their interview in March and got cancelled on. Still waiting for good news.

my medical is also expiring end of this month. I assume they will make us redo the medical again...

I just got an email from them about this as mine expires in August. They are not extending medicals. We will have to get new ones. The email said they would provide instructions when the time comes. It drives me crazy as it will now be 3 medicals taken and paid for in the last 14 months.

I’m not surprised about redoing it, but having to pay for a medical again is extremely frustrating. There’s also the fact that when they do reopen, are they going to be open just to let anyone book their interviews, or will it go by the order which those who had booked earlier and those who had not?

The waiting game sucks. I’m sorry you’ve already had to do three medicals :(

Albeit bad that the medical needs to be done again, the fact that you just got some communication from them at Montreal is possibly a good sign that things are starting up again...

when was your initial interview scheduled for?
