Congrats to all those who have interview dates. Question, Our case was expedited right around April. We hadn't received an interview date but we received an email stating our interview had been cancelled and will be rescheduled. This was late April. Not sure where even in the backlogs we would be since we didn't get a date but according to NVC we had an interview and it was cancelled.

My interview has been rescheduled for Sept 9. My medical expires Sept  25 (with the 1 month extension) so we have decided to redo the medical before my interview because 16 days to get my passport back and move is really cutting it close with the postal delays lately.

Might be a waste of money but its one less thing to stress over at this point.

Did you receive an email for rescheduling? Does anyone call to inquire. I am feeling lost with my interview that was canceled March 30

I received an email with the date and time...same process as the first time around back in March. My original date was March 20th. You will hopefully hear something soon.

Glad that Montreal is up and processing again!

Has anyone had a K1 interview scheduled at Montreal?

Looked through a couple threads and didnt see anyone.

They are only doing canceled CR1/IR1 interviews from March and April at the moment. I think once they are done they will move on to the cancelled K1 from March and April. I am waiting for my new K1 interview date as well 🤞

I might be wrong but doesn’t your passport has to be valid for 6 months when you go for you interview ?

yes that what it says but because of COVID 19, we have not received anything from office but we have all the paper work to show that we applied. do u think we should risk or just reschedule appointment?

I would reschedule and wait to have my new passport before going to the interview rather than being denied. I also think you should get a new medical.

They are extending medicals by one month, but you will absolutely need a new passport regardless. It must be valid for 6 months beyond your date of travel. If you go with an expiring passport, they'll just give you a 221g and you'll be stuck in a processing black hole indefinitely.
