Finances and support

Obviously as Nick is here in Scotland with me and not in work we were wondering if we should include a wee statement saying that we already have found co-sponsors for the support issue and that he is intending to find work when he returns to Nebraska in December. Was just wonder if anyone thinks it would be a good idea, we know the support issue doesn't really kick in until the I134 but if it may help our case to mention that we have thought about and discussed the financial side of things.

TBH, it's not going to matter right now about the I-134. All they care about at this point is the proof that you've met f2f within the last two years and that both of you are free to marry. IMHO I wouldn't worry about attaching any kind of statement regarding finances at this time. The interview is when financial information will be of importance for that's when they look at the I-134 to make sure the beneficiary won't be a public charge. The petition gets approved first, then the interview is set up. That's when the visa is approved. I'm sure you know all that though, forgive me for repeating it all. Hope this helps.

I'm a student and have no money. I didnt submit anything with financial stuff until the embassy part. No prob at USCIS stage.

No need to address any of those issues until after the case leaves the US for the Consulate.

thanks everyone. Well it's now out of my hands and flying off to USCIS. First night this week I've had nothing to do....feels good knowing thats it away. Now the waiting, hoping and praying starts.

Things that are not relevant to the issue at hand are often not a good idea, and can come back to haunt you later on.
