Interview has been requested ?

Hi,

I contacted USCIS and they told me that an interview has been requested for me. I have an upcoming trip soon and my estimated wait time is 20 days.  Case completion time is September 2020.

My i751 got approved already without interview. I applied for citizenship in December, 2019. Newark, NJ is my field office.

Has anyone experienced this and should I be postponing trip?

Newark is currently re-scheduling and interviewing people whose interviews were cancelled in March. Most of them filed in June/July 2019...

I filed in January 2020 and am slowly but surely giving up all hope to vote in this coming election. I myself am not in the US at the moment - why I can't make that decision for you, I personally don't think it's worth postponing anything due to the estimate in your MyUSCIS account.

We have a Newark/Mt Laurel topic here:

I contacted them too and they told me the same thing that an interview has been requested, what does interview requested means? does it mean the application is at the local office waiting for an interview to be scheduled? That is what I am assuming.

Yes usually it just means that you're in line for an interview (meaning fingerprint check has been completed). The wait time from there depends on the individual field office.
