HELP! Police certificate?

According to the NVC Civil documents reciprocity page for Haiti on the state department website, the police certificate is not needed for the initial visa application. However, on the civil documents tab on my CEAC the police certificate is listed as a required document. There is an issue at the moment with obtaining a police certificate in Haiti. I want to know if I am able to complete the NVC stage without the police certificate being uploaded and submitted to CEAC, and it will just be brought to the interview. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I hope a recent Haiti CR1 member can chime in because I would interpret that as needed now ; and that you didn't need it when you initially mailed in the application. If you submit your petition now and it is needed the worst that would happen is you'd receive a RFE. Does your wife know anyone who works at the police station to help get a certificate?

Good Morning, my husband since Thursday has been in pap to get a police report. He had help but the dcpj i think thats the name is not open and it's not because of the covid it's other issues going on they told him the embassy is aware of that and it shouldn't be a problem. you can just write a letter stating that or if you know someone that can get you signatures you can try that as well. we finally got what we needed but now we have one last signature and that's from the ministry of foreign affairs which will be done today. i will still send a copy of the receipt of the police report the police report we have and a letter just incase they don't except what we have. The only reason he kept on them is because he knows my attitude lol so he's crossing every T and dotting his I''s. Once again if you have help go for it if not write the letter saying you tried and the dcpj are having issues and the embassy of haiti is aware of it. I hope that help a littlle. @Jacques'son

Just  write a statement explaining the reason and everything should be okay, I got DQ without it.

I also have this kind of a problem I can’t obtain a police certificate at this time and I am stuck in NVC for 2 months already. Can I just write them and explain that I will just bring my police clearance in the interview because right now it is a bit difficult to obtain since I am

not residing in my birth country ?
By the way,  how did you send them your explanation, if I may ask? Thanks

At that time we had ongoing protest on the street, so politic wise, we were not stable. Explain to them your current situation and upload it on ceac website with your civil document, but i don't know if it will works for you, just try. Good luck with it!
