Certified criminal record check

Hi 

Can someone tell me that what is the correct format that Nvc is accepting for the certified criminal record check from Canada as I got one under privacy act but nvc stated that it is not certified . If anyone had the same query before and received any help can you please let me know . I hope someone might have correct answer.

You need to get fingerprinted, and have them send it to the RCMP under "entire holdings" . The format changed last September and I got the same response as you. The good news is, it only takes a week or so now to get the records.

 My criminal check has been a over a year. I guess I need to renew it. I did it in commissionaries. So it should be under entire holdings, and not under privacy act?

The category is "national repository entire holdings "   Under the privacy act. Go to an accredited fingerprint guy. I used Ace fingerprinting in Toronto.

Regardless your police cert needs to be less than a year old unless you've not returned to the country of origin since receiving it.
