OOOHHHHH I am fuming :ranting:

Why are some people so ignorant and such a$$holes!?!?

Just because my husband is from another country does NOT mean that he is illegal, using your tax dollars, came here just for the opportunity, is a radical person of another religion, doesn't speak english, can't hold down a job, is an alcoholic/druggie...and the list goes on.

People are so damn ignorant and need to study up on the difference between ILLEGAL and IMMIGRANTS!

Yeah, I get you. Javi was illegal to begin with but still didn't do any of those things listed above. He always paid his taxes and never used any tax dollars for medical purposes or anything. He speaks good english and has held a job since I met him, doesn't do drugs and he's not an alcoholic. Now he may have come here for the opportunity but that's all that may apply to him. Anyway, I still get what you are saying. People still think he's illegal because he's Mexican and he gets discriminated against so bad around here. People are ignorant!

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

He may have come here for the opportunity but that doesn't make it his ONLY reason for coming. At least Javi was trying to do the right thing while living here illegal and is now doing the right thing.

I just get so tired of the blanket generalizations and assumptions because he comes from another country :crying: It gets so old and so frustrating.

Oh and just to clarify...I don't think all illegals do that - that is just the assumptions I have heard from others about Andre and other "illegals".

People are too damn ignorant and thick headed sometimes!

I know, believe me I know. We live in such a small town where people are so discriminatory. It's terrible. It's not just the illegal thing either. Javi can't even get helped or waited on in some places just because he's Mexican. Around here if you're different, that's a bad thing. It's so insanely annoying.

Morning! I see you had a dilemma on what to wear this morning. I hate when that happens. Sometimes I waste 10 minutes just standing in my closet staring at my clothes trying to figure out what to wear. I get stuck in a rut and wear the same things over and over again. Sometimes I need to throw a little variety in there. That's when I get thrown for a loop.

 yeah, well I don't have a dress code here, besides the obvious (mini skirts, indecent cleavage) I can wear whatever I want. But still, I like to dress well, actually I dress better than most people in higher position here :P

I don't really have a dress code either. I am an administrative assistant so I should dress appropriately but I can wear jeans and such. Which is what I normally wear. I dress up when we have events or something like that. I might wear a skirt and some high heels every once in a while. I hate it though. I am much happier in jeans or capri pants. I can even wear flip flops to work. I try not to wear them more than once or twice a week though. I would wear dress pants more often if I could find some that fit me. I'm a size 2 but short. I have several pairs of dress pants that I've had altered and they are still way too long. That and they are way to big for me. I have to put safety pins on each side to keep them up. I guess I need to take them back and have them altered some more.

It's casual Friday for me here girls.. jeans and a t-shirt.. I live for Fridays.. otherwise I do dress up

Can I get your opinion on something that's really bothering me?

There is this guy at the bus stop (probably 50 years old). We get on the bus at the same time. He dresses like he's not had a shower in 2 weeks, and is rather rough. At first he was pretty harmless.. "how was your day, you look pretty" stuff.. but yesterday I got really freaked out..

He was smoking IN MY FACE at the bus stop, then when I got on the bus I sat in the most crowded spot I could so he would have to go to the back of the bus and away from me. He actually sat in the reserved seating for special needs and continuted to talk to me. I gave him ALL the social cues I could avioding eye contact, outright looking away, then he moved RIGHT beside me (like he was practically sitting on some other guys knee). Then he grabs my hand and says "I can't have you doing that" (I was nervously rubbing my fingers together cause he was FREAKING me out).. Then he proceeds to tell me all about his court cases. About 3 times yesterday he said "i can't believe how "wholesome" you look.

I even went so far last night as looking him up on the registered offenders list he scared me so bad.

As a child I was once left alone in our car and someone as rough looking as him approached the car and started talking to me, he was just reaching in the car trying to touch me when my father came back. That's my reference to all this. he knows which building I work in, I'm all alone and I gotta tell you I'm freaking out.. :crying:

You can say ''excuse me, but your behavior is inapropriate. I'd like to be left alone'' get up and sit somewhere else. Or you can take and iPod with you and listen to music the entire trip. Or you can get a book, like a learning book of whatever and say you can't chat because you really have to study.
