If someone leaves a message on your voice mail not for you, but for someone else you have no clue who they are, would you call this person back and explain she has the wrong number, or just pretend it never happened?

I dunno.. I'd probably just leave it unless they start to harass me- we get calls from 000-000-0000 (won't show caller ID) ALL the time, I have answered the calls and it's a telemarketer calling for a business (I have explained to them over and over that it's a RESIDENCE not a Business).. GAH drives me nuts! THat stuff is irritating..

Well I honestly don't feel like calling back. I hope this doesn't make me a terrible person.

I wouldn't bother, personally... but then maybe I AM a terrible person!

I did once feel really really bad when I had a voicemail on my mobile from some frail-sounding woman saying that she was ready to be picked up from the hospital. Would have called her back, but the call came through when my phone had no reception, so there was no return number.... :(

But for normal, work-related calls? Naaah. Let 'em call the right number next time!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

no, I don't have that one but my mom does and she uses it all the time and loves it,.... I do have a rival crock pot but a cheaper version... it works pretty good...

Me too. Mine looks bigger than that actually, but is a dial, not a digital thingy.

I hate shopping for used cars. I was quoted these two different prices for the same exact car, nearly the same mileage, same exact year, same exact options, same exact condition (no real mechanical problems, good condition):

Dealer 1: $8200

Dealer 2: $4995

I bought neither, but jeeze. Sucker born every minute or something. The second price is far more in line with reality.

We bought my car, Beryl, off of ebay. Saved ourselves a grand off of the blue book price. If you feel brave, give it a go. The seller was actually a dealer in Indy (Butler Ford) and Beryl was obviously a trade in that they were going to send to auction. But she was down as $4000 in the lot and we got her for $3000. Blue book price had her at $4500 through a dealer and $3750 through a private sale.

She works like a charm (after some general engine cleaning and changing the air filters etc) and was well worth the risk.

I think next time we go out to dinner we can try Olive Garden, sounds good.

I like Olive garden, but the last time we went there we had the ditziest server EVER. Kept asking us every five minutes if things were okay, charged us for wine we didn't have and kept forgetting to refil our drinks.

Problem was we think it was her first or second day and I kind of feel sorry for them then. Plus she was actually really nice about stuff...albeit slightly annoying!

I agree about the phone thing. I just ignore it and figure that they will get the idea when the person doesn't call back. If it was some sort of emergency call then I would call back...but like some said...business calls - don't worry about it.

I have called people back though when I have gotten repeated messages for the same person...not so much to help them out but to get them to stop calling me.

OMG that reminds me of a funny story. My grandma is 86 and she has lived in the same town since 16 years old. She has had the same phone number her WHOLE life.

She just moved into an assisted living home and has been becoming quite forgetful. Anyways she started getting these calls for a Wendy...she would answer and tell them no Wendy lived at the number and they were leaving messages. It went on for days. One day my mom calls her and my grandma is upset because she has decided "that the phone company has given her phone number to Wendy" then she goes on to rant about the phone company "how dare they give my number away" "I pay my bill and those people better give me back my number!" My mom was in hysterics laughing...all she had to say was "mom I just called you...on your phone number" We all got a good laugh especially my grandma
