Good Morning all!

I saw that in the other thread as well. I am going to start it next Monday...give me time to mentally prepare

If anyone ever wants stuff from Canada I would be happy to get it for you. Me and the hubby are going to Canada next weekend...just let me know!

It's great you started the running program. I wish I could do that but I have bad knees. I don't think running would help that out any. I like to walk and try to do so every day at lunch. Lately I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to walk. I really would love to get back out there. It just makes me feel so much better.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

We both have gained weight since settling in as marrieds.. we don't want to let it get out of hand!!

It's also a great thing to do with your spouse - work out.. i never realized that.. it's cool to just go through the pains and aches together :) we're going to go after work Mon/ Wed & Friday.. hopefully that's a pace we can keep.. Friday afternoon's going to be a ####### though :(

I like the mint ones also. I didn't actually buy the bars this time. Since we were busy laying our wood flooring I asked my mom to get them for me. She just got the plain chocolate Aero bar. Of course, I'm not complaining, it was still good. I think I like the Flake bar better than the Aero bar though. I just like that flaky chocolate. It's so good.

I could murder a Flake right about now... if you keep them in the fridge and eat them when the chocolate's all brittle and cold.... mmmmm!! :P

And Emancipation (I just looked at your profile/timeline/thingy, we have the same name! )... I'm impressed with the running. I really, really, really need to start doing something like that... I saw that site yesterday, it actually makes it sound manageable. Problem is, I HATE running - but have been assured by various people that it's possible to make yourself love it... I'm not convinced. The Husband (who is as lazy as me and currently does zero exercise, like me) keeps saying we should start working out together. He's suggested running... I'm not sure that would work, though - he's tall, I'm not, I don't think I'd stand a chance of keeping up with him and his super-long greyhound-legs. Soooo... hm, maybe the gym isn't such a bad idea after all.

Interesting what you said about working out being a good thing to do together... suppose it could be fun, although in my case, my innate aversion to exercise might be a problem!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Hubby is taller than me - I just put him on an outside lane :) tee hee.. I get a "charge" from actually finishing the 25 min (listen to me i've done it once).. i love to compete as well.. so that's one thing that will keep me "doing this".. but there is a lot of walking in the beginning 90 seconds to 60 seconds of running.. it really is managable.. we both felt like we weren't exhausted when we finished.. we've been hiking some as well.. in the evenings out in a nearby park.. we both enjoy that a lot!

That's great. It makes it easier when you have company.

Outside lane - good plan! And yeah, the amount of walking interspersed between all those nasty bouts of running is what makes it sound manageable - walking, I can do that! A friend at home got really, really into running by following the advice on a similar site to the one linked in that thread yesterday... she gave me the link ages ago but (predictably) I can't find it anymore... anyway, it was very similar in making it sound like something that's actually possible and do-able, easing you into it, etc. It has actually got me thinking 'maybe...' instead of 'no bloody way!', which is normally my response to the idea of running!

I really want to get a bike, too... there's some places round here that would be great for cycling, and I miss my old bike - until a year or so ago I used to cycle EVERYWHERE in London, & I've definitely put on weight since giving up that exercise, even though it didn't seem like much at the time. Husband is of the opinion that the roads round here are too dangerous... compared to London streets, they seem like quiet country lanes, so they don't bother me!

Oh yeah, another of my 'problems' with running... I feel really silly when I run, like I must look like a complete idiot!!

no RFE, will probably be on our mail today. I'm not worried about that. It's something else here at work that's bothering me. So I don't know if I go talk to somebody or if I just wait to see what happens

VJ went a bit :wacko::blink: for a few minutes, I think!

Anyway, had just been wondering if you'd got the RFE yet, and wondering if you were about, which is why I asked! The work thing sounds... blah.... though. :(
