That's a good start. I ate a raw hot dog and some ice cream for supper last night. I made some pasta meal thing and it was nasty. Javi loved it but I couldn't eat it. It smelled and tasted funny to me. We didn't have anything else in the house except hot dogs and ice cream.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Who doesn't feel like a whale now and then, specially on those days :P

It takes a lot of will power to choose a fruit over some fattening dessert, if I have in front of me the options of a fattening and yummy dessert or a fruit in a restaurant for example I'll go for the fattening/yummy stuff.

If you're anything like me, you're harder on yourself than other people are. I'm sure your weight is just fine.

As for the smell, it smelled like vomit. It was disgusting. Javi said, "it's just the way the cheese smells." I didn't care. I couldn't eat it.

I absolutely LOVE cheese and I don't care about the smell. I'm really glad that my husband hates it, so I don't buy nor eat much, because it's so fattening.

Good morning all...I have had quite the morning at work :blink:

I think it is ALL about will power. Who wouldn't want the yummy dessert over some fruit?!? Especially when you have been choosing the fruit day after day. It gets old sometimes. I am trying to lose weight. I have gained a lot since getting married...too much stress and drama that I am so not used to. I am considering doing curves but I don't know yet. I have the biggest loser workout dvd coming via netflix...ya know that celebrity weight loss show. Supposedly the workout is fantastic. I also try and avoid sugars and white flour. Those are really bad for you. Once you get the sugar out of your system (2-3 weeks) the cravings go away. It is all about willpower...all about willpower!

mmmm...I love cheese as well :)

Totally agree with the above.. that sugar is a beast that must be destroyed.. (natural fructose excluded). I actually switched to goat cheese a few years back, it helps a lot.. less issues with digestion, no more allergies etc. etc! :)

Trust me it is unbelievable how much stuff has sugar in it...stuff you would never even imagine! Check the label and sugar or HFCS is one of the top ingredients. My mom and I both live by the rule that if you can't avoid things with sugar in them completely then at least avoid the foods that have sugar in the top 5 ingredients. Natural sugars are of course the exception to the rule. Nothing like a good apple or piece of fruit to raise your blood sugar the natural healthy way!

HFCS is something I've grown to HATE about being in the US.. it's not in most Canadian products. Sugar yes, HFCS no.. it's a HUGE irritant for me

.. esp when i know the SAME products made in Canada don't have HFCS.. We will be taking trips home to get the NON HFCS stuff.

I always try to buy things sugar free anyway, or low fat. Like cereals, even peanut butter. But some things I really prefer to eat less often but the fattening type, like chocolate, if I'm to eat it it must taste pretty good and I don't care about the sugar in it, it's not something I eat every day.

I've never heard of HFCS til like a couple weeks ago. I have to start paying attention to that.

I have always lived only about 5 minutes from Canada so when I was younger and there was a bigger exchange rate we would do most things in Canada - groceries, movies, clothes etc. There is a huge difference in the way things taste between here and Canada...especially candy and pop. I blame it all on the HFCS. I still go up to Canada as often as I can to go shopping. It isn't so beneficial now because of the exchange rate and the gas prices to get there...not to mention the hassle at the border.

I love Canada...I always have. I always joke that I should have been born Canadian. I even use the notorious "eh". People always mistake myself and my family for being Canadian  I wish I could move there :)
