Yeah, I was thinking along those lines. We just got that loan and Javi said I could have $500 of it to buy myself something because I gave him $1000 to buy some tools he needed, he's a foreman for a construction company. I don't really need anything right now. I could go on a big shopping spree and buy all kinds of clothes and shoes but I don't really have anywhere to put them. I'd have to get rid of my old clothes first. That may not sound like a bad idea to some people but there's nothing wrong with my old clothes. I hate to turn down $500 but I really have no idea what to do with it.

You could sell your old stuff on E-bay? Just do a lot or something and sell them as a group -or Craig's list the more valuable stuff and then free cycle or donate the rest of the clothing to "make room" if you really want clothes :)

The thing with buying clothes that's giving me the biggest problem is, it's a 15 year loan and even though it's just $500, I can't imagine paying 15 years for some clothes. We're already planning on going to Disney. We have a digital camera. I'm thinking about the art or something for my house. The problem with that is, I don't have a lot of room for new furniture. Our house isn't that big and it's kinda laid out weird, so it's hard to put stuff in it. I think I'll just put the money back and maybe one day I'll run across something I just have to have.

True enough!! Are you a jewellery kinda girl?

I like the way you think :) Very practical.

I am a jewelry type of girl but I have rings on most of my fingers and a specific necklace I wear every day.

Coldstone and fudge both sound really good right now. I love chocolate devotion from Coldstone. It's my favorite ice cream ever.

I believe I'll just wait and see if something pops up that I really, really want. No sense in spending all that money on something I only partially want. I'd just regret it later.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. It really did help. It made me realize I'm a pretty lucky woman to not have any wants or needs.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

I think it's odd, too! My husband was going on about how great it is 'because they smash it up right there in front of you'. Huh?

Plus the smell coming from there is very sickly-sweet. I'm sure it's nice really, though... I'll just have to be in the mood to try it.

It is so good! The one I eat is chocolate ice cream with brownie, chocolate sauce, and chocolate chips stirred in. I would love to have one right now.

I think it's discusting that someone actually mashes my icecream up and then serves it to me drippy.. Why don't they just do things like every other icecream shop and just add toppings?? :) tee hee.. it's overpriced too.. holy flip.. it's not even high quality ice cream to my palate :)

Actually, it's not all drippy. They mix it on a frozen marble slab. It stays pretty much the same consistency after they mix it than it was before they mixed it. If you think Coldstone is over priced you should see the Marble Slab place. At least Coldstone has already made up options. At the Marble Slab place you pay a certain price for the ice cream, then extra for all the add ins you get. It's ridiculously over priced.

Perhaps I went to the 'shifty' Cold Stone shop! :) cause the one that I had was goopy.. like it had been left out for 5 min.. perhaps they were having troubles with the frezer or something..

One day, I WILL get around to trying it! The place is always packed every time I walk past... will have to experience Cold Stone ice cream at least once!

It's the mashing thing that has me confused... which reminds me, I have a big glass pestle & mortar, and my stepdaughter got very excited when she first saw it, and seems convinced that its purpose is to 'make' ice cream, 'like at Cold Stone'. Every time she sets eyes on it she asks hopefully if we can 'make ice cream' and then gets all pouty at the response... I SWEAR she thinks we're lying when we tell her it's not some magical ice cream making device. Strange girl!

No pestles & mortars then? I am intrigued as to where my stepdaughter got the idea that mine was for making ice cream from...!!

No, no pestle and mortar.

Emancipation: I think you did to go a shotty Stone Cold. Mine ice cream has never been drippy when I've been there. I think I would share your ideas about it if I had been served drippy ice cream. That's just not right.

Oh man all this talk about ice cream is killing me! We are having a very uncommon heat wave here in the PNW and it is SO hot here in the office...we don't have any air conditioning or even fans...it is miserable :(

I have never been to Coldstone Creamery...hmm I wonder if there is even any around here...hmm...

I just cleaned out the filing cabinet in my office. Now I have about 50 or so files just sitting on my desk. I'll have to move them to all new file folders before I can move them into the "community" file room. All mine are in colored file folders but in the "community" file room they have to be in manila colored folders. How boring! That's about all I have done after lunch so I'm pretty much a slacker too.
