I hate people who don't speak clearly on the phone. I can understand some people that speak loud and clear as good as I can understand brazilian people on the phone, but some it's like they do it on purpose, mumble on the phone just so us foreigner won't be able to understand them :P

Yeah, Lisa, that's right...I always get those long N names mixed up. :P

Hmmm...Nessa, they sound good. Are they fattening?? And quit lying. :P

I had to point it out cos I get them confused all the time, so I was happy to see I wasn't the only one.

Random comment for the day: I'M TAKING THE DAY OFF!!! Well, as close to a day off as poss...after 2.5 hours of working & a night appt @ 8...with, of course, the various calls throughout the day. I haven't had a day off in quite a while...can't remember when!

When You Stop Smoking..

After 20 minutes...

your blood pressure returns to normal.

After 8 hours...

the levels of carbon monoxide in your blood are halved

After 24 hours...

your lungs start to clear out debris.

After 1-3 months...

lung function will improve by up to one third.

After 5 years...

your risk of lung cancer will be halved.

After 10 years...

your risk of all smoking related cancers will have reduced to almost normal levels.

Ok...I just had a thought..one of those..wouldn't make a thread for it, but still....an "aha" moment, kind of...

You know, I really do believe certain people come into our lives at certain times for a reason...I'm not talking about our SOs or things like that...what I was thinking of, for example, was this: I used to visit a message board about a fave TV show nearly every day...one day (in January!) ;) the admin told her story about her 40s husband having a mild heart attack and that he had to quit smoking and she was going to too..and she challenged anyone to quit with her. I decided I would give it a go at least...then, the more I read online that night, and the more I thought about it...I realized...NO...I can't "give it a go" or I won't end up doing it...I just have to QUIT. and I did.

The point is, I guess, that I always KNEW I SHOULD quit, but without her particular motivation at THAT particular time, I would very very likely still be smoking right now. I very rarely ever frequent that board anymore....I haven't felt good, I'm job hunting...whatever reason..I just don't...but she could have saved my life. Weird, hey?? :) M.

I don't like them either! I wish they would make strawberry flavor. I like Sour Patch Kids.

I've had a persistant headache since Monday. I'm getting tired of it now.
