i am annoyed with myself.....

I have been making a program for my hubby's mom's funeral this Friday.... I checked and double checked and triple checked for errors etc, even my hubby and his sister had looked over them....

i figured I had caught everything, so today I printed off at least 100 of them and I was so proud to have them done....

then my hubby took a quick look at them after I had printed them all out and said oh oh there is a mistake ..

at first I thought he was kidding but I went to look and sure enough.. I had spelled a name wrong  instead of Fernando, I had spelled Fernado...

I had noticed the little red line under it but I just figured the spell check didn't recognize that name.. and I had looked at it and I thought it was spelled right but the font I was using with MS Word looked kind of squished together on my screen so I missed it....

anywho, I called hubby's sister and she said just leave it because I had already printed them all out... I am sure no one will notice but Fernando and his family...

Some facts about pumpkins you probably didn't know:

* Pumpkins are fruits. A pumpkin is a type of squash and is a member of the gourd family (Cucurbitacae), which also includes squash, cucumbers, gherkins, and melons.

* The largest pumpkin ever grown was 1,689 pounds. It was grown by Joe Jutras of North Scituate, Rhode Island and weighed at the Topsfield Fair GPC weigh-off in Topsfield, MA on September 29, 2007.

* The top pumpkin production states are Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and California.

* In early colonial times, pumpkins were used as an ingredient for the crust of pies, not the filling.

* Native Americans called pumpkins "isqoutm squash."

* Using pumpkins as lanterns at Halloween is based on an ancient Celtic custom brought to America by Irish immigrants. All Hallows Eve on October 31st marked the end of the old Celtic calendar year. On that night hollowed-out turnips, beets and rutabagas with a candle inside were placed on windowsills and porches to welcome home spirits of deceased ancestors and ward off evil spirits and a restless soul called "Stingy Jack."
