Charles, you're a dork. :P (Nessa told me.) (as if I couldn't tell on my own) :P

Hmmmmm Ana...well, I think it's good that they offered you the pay raise...matching money. Maybe ask her if they would be willing to pay a little over/above what the other company is offering you as some sort of compensation for not having whatever travel benefits the other company is offering? Tell them you enjoy your job (in other words, lie. j/k ;) ) and would like to stay, but you have to do what's best for you money/benefits wise. Maybe they'll rethink. Whatever happens, all the best in your new (or old!) job! :) M.

Hmmm..that sounds good! Wrong thread here, but I've been thinking about doing Slimfast shakes for breakfast/lunch, which I said I didn't want to do...rather emphatically actually.

The reason I'm thinking of changing my mind is this: I'm normally not hungry before late afternoon, so I often don't eat *anything*....I know that's bad for you too. To get my metabolism going, give me a boost of energy, vitamins, etc...it might be a good option for me right now. I just have to be wary of going back to *normal* eating that I don't overeat at those times...but not likely as I've never been too hungry early in the day. I also have to start having a cutoff point..say 8pm or something. It can be a bit later for me as we stay up quite late even when we're on normal schedules...which I haven't been lately! I've been up all night tonight and I'm likely to stay up all day and go to bed earlier tonight...Corey has a footie match at 6:30 and I'm still right in the middle of cleaning... :P

...but instead of smoke breaks, I take VJ OT breaks every few minutes. :P I have to say, I do miss my smoke breaks though..that used to be my reward...clean for about 1/2 hour and then sit down for a ciggy.... :( I haven't had any though, and for the most part the cravings are gone! :)

I don't take smoke breaks. I have one when I wake up, and on my way here then none for 8 hours and then I have one on my way to the gym (yeah, very healthy) and then at home.

But Michelle, one of the secrets for a successful diet is to never get to the point where you're hungry. If you don't eat after 7pm you will wake up hungry, or you'll start getting hungry earlier. Try that. It might not work at first but your body will get used to it.

Then snack healthy food every 2 hours, like yogurts, fruits, cereal, shakes and then eat a meal like you're used to when you usually get hungry (in the afternoon).

Those slimfast shakes don't work for me as in replacing a meal. The only reason I drink them is because they're healthy and delicious. But if it works for you you should try that also.

Yeah, you're right on all counts...I just figured since I don't like eating in the morning, (I'm never hungry then) (and I know, they ARE yummy!) that it might help me on all counts..with my craving for something yummy, and to get my body going....not to mention the vitamins, etc. I should deffo stop eating late, and I can/will do that...but I'm still not sure I will want to eat in the morning..the thought of food early makes me nauseated..even when I started work at 6:30 am. So....a shake might work for me in that regard..better than nothing. I also need to take medications sometimes, and if I don't have anything in my tummy, THAT makes me sick. :P So...might try it. Have to get a job before we start shelling out any more money for *anything* though! Should have one soon.
