Smarties are like M&M's everywhere else in the world.. I dunno why the US calls "Rockets" - "Smarties", but they do.. anywhoo.. the rest of us enjoy smarties and all their colors much like you guys enjoy your m&M's.. the advertising of Smarties was that the red ones should always be eaten last :) Just a jingle that I remember from my childhood.. .. I miss smarties :(

I do it either other kinds of foods too. I think we're a bunch of OCD girls in this thread. I can't eat potato chips unless I eat an even amount. Javi always makes me so mad because I'll get out my potato chips and then he'll eat one. It throws off my whole even thing. He just does it on purpose.

I guess it depends on what you get used to because I think M&M's kick smarties azz. :lol:

Our weekend:

Miriam Alves, an Afro-Brasilian Scholar who is known for her writings and poems in Brazil, will be teaching at UNM for six months along with her daughter. Because of a great Brasilian friend that teaches at UNM, we got to meet them last week and they decided to spend the weekend with us at our house. They had a blast and so did my wife. Just thought we share this with those who are interested in Bras literature. :)

So need some advice here gals....

We came home last night and i had an e-mail from the new friends I have managed to make here in CT.

They were saying that they knew of this girl who was new to our church and who didn't know anyone and they were getting married and they wanted to do something to recognize the day as a group of friends. They wanted to have a shower and encouragement time for them. They wanted my help with the planning & such.. which is all a great idea IMO..

the hurtful bit and the part that made me lonely, was that when I first moved here 6 months ago, I had no one here for the wedding, and no one in this same group of friends even so much as sent us a card!! no one offered to come to the wedding and we had no witnesses and the night we got married we were with these people at another event and no one really said anything to us about it.. Just felt really lonely last night cause my group of friends back home would have made such a big deal out of it.. I am longing to make good friends here, but it's not an easy thing.. *sigh..

So what do i do?? I feel like I need to tell one of my friends in this group- you know what this hurt me because.. but on the other hand I want to say frig it and not let it bug me..

What would you guys do?

Well, I'm not one of the girls but :blush:

its not the new girls fault. You know how the others are but maybe this new girl might be a potential great friend. I would say go and have a good time.
