Hi y'all. 😊

They say BE PATIENT and everything will be ok. But I doubt it!

I have filed for I-485, I-131 and  I-765 forms through my husband (green card holder) while I am a graduate student in F1 visa within USA. I have heard many people get their EAD/AP within 4-7 months. It has been 1 year and 7 months that I have not received my EAD/AP. My lawyer put several Service Requests (five times!) for EAD expedite and every time I have received the same email from USCIS: "your case is under back ground check". I have severe financial situation as my university stopped paying me and I do not have any other income. I have explained this in a letter and provided supportive documents and sent these documents to the state senator to follow up my case with USCIS, yet no answer form USCIS.

Recently, I got an job offer (it is not a huge known company but still I can have some income). I am not sure whether I send documents through other senator to USCIS or not, after these many efforts.

I appreciate any idea or help.

Thanks.

This is my biggest fear...

And no, anything more than a year is highly highly anomalous. The receipt date for a case inquiry for NBC is December 31, 2019. Is a case inquiry the same as a service request?
