What's The General Success Rate of Expedited Requests?

The likelihood of success would depend on the specifics of your reason and the evidence to support it.

I am going to assume the financial resources require going to Canada based on the OP's name. The reality is it might be more beneficial to try to figure out how to get access to whatever they are while in the US, instead of hoping for an expedite.

I'm in the processing of filing an expedited request, due to financial hardship.  Part of it has to do with the current global pandemic, but me also needing to go back to my home country and needing to access some finances (which would put me in a better position).

I was wondering if there was a general consensus of what the success rate is for the expedited requests.

dont think your case qualifies for expedited but you can give it a shot and see if your reason is convincing enough

It seems that expediting has become the norm.  Everyone thinks their case is worthy of jumping in front of others.  But it's free to try.....

Jarrod, there are people legitimately trying to ask for help here.  You seem to be in a fairly stable immigration status right now, whereas, given the pandemic, the OP is worried about finances and is worried enough to be considering an expedite.

Your answer here does nothing to add to the thread and wastes the OP's time.

I agree to disagree about my "stable immigration status" but you are entitled to your opinion. I just fail to see how you gleamed that if you looked at my profile.

I'm checking Visa Journey frequently for facts, not what we, as experts think. I've been on this rollercoaster for a long time and I feel like I can laugh at the absurdity of the situation we are all in.

You could try to access your money in another country via digital transfer of funds, wire transfer between banks, or Xoom, Western Union.  if you need to go back to sign paper documents, check into digital signatures for selling assets, another option would be to authorize a friend or family member in your home country to act in your name, with a power of attorney document that can be signed and sent via FedEx in a day or two.  All of the above would be faster and easier than hoping for an expedite.  Good luck!

And I wonder how much these requests are making the 'normal' case processing times even longer because you know they must be contributing to the slowing down of processing petitions and visas...review request, review case, interview, deny.. back to the pile.

Also want to point out the EAD and AP are two separate forms/processes even though they are generally processed at the same time and you are given a combo EAD/AP card. You would have to ask for an expedite for both the 765 and the 131. Each request needs to be approved independently. Just because you get your EAD expedite approved- you dont automatically get AP approved and a combo card. Sometimes yes, if they are approving a 765 expedite they will go in and also approve the 131 and issue you the combo card, but a lot of times you only get the expedited EAD or AP and the other one will come later, slower, and separately.

I cant imagine a scenario where AP would be needed for financial reasons. Most banking things can be done electronically or through proxy type stuff. Youd have to document exactly why you need to be there in person to do such transaction and why there are no other options. Its also a bit contradicting to say I need to be able to work here in the US and at the same time leave the US for money. You cant do both at the same time! You are either working here or leaving on travel.
