Nigeria has an immigrant travel ban since January (before any additional covid ban).  Nothing had been scheduled since then.

Pls contact NVC. mine got to nvc in December 2019 and I've done interview just waiting for embassy to reopen so that I can pick up my passport. Routine visa was stopped a day after my interview.

There is a travel ban yes, however if u r eligible for a waiver the CO will grant u the visa.. there is quite a few individuals who have received visas after the travel ban ..

Sure, but takes effort on behalf of the applicant.   Not doing anything results in nothing happening

And that u r absolutely correct!! I stand corrected, but I think if nothing is done for a year while at NVC then your case is dismissed and you have to start all over

Not quite.  First goes into cold storage,  if after a certain period of time (several years?).  If not resurrected, then it would be destroyed
