Hello,

We applied for K1 visa in the beginning of January 2020. Process was fast. My fiance called both UCSIS and NVC about the next steps. And what they told to her is that UCSIS send our documents to NVC and they created case number on 15.04.2020. We have been waiting for 2.5 months right now to get welcome letter but still no sign. My fiance says after getting case number, we need 4 months to complete our application or it is going to be expire and we need to start over.

My question is this can we apply for K1 visa without getting welcome letter if we have the case number?

Thank you very much.

Have a nice day.

Their is nothing you can do now...k1s and routine visa has grinded to a halt....until embassies open again you just have to wait...when they open the will revalidate your k1 petition if it has expired.
