@pegagn you were right! It seems the EAD was approved! Just checked today and saw it changed to "New Card is Being Produced" !!! I am still in shock, I don't want to refresh the page in case it changes back.

PD: July 22, 2020

Bio: January 5, 2021 (Hackensack, NJ office)

@ss.hendrix - FYI as I know you are super close with your dates too.  I hope you have good news this week as well!

Our AP online hasn't updated yet, so I am hoping that it will still be a combo card.

New card being produced today! I had called them of Wednesday and complained that is was taking too long and they put in a request for me..not sure if that’s why—thankful nonetheless. How long does it take to arrive after it says “card is being produced” ?

@ss.hendrix Congrats!!

So I called my local SS office to ask if my SS card was already on the way but apparently the USCIS never put in a request for them to produce one as my name wasn't in their system so I had to make an appointment and get the card myself? I did definitely check the box on the I-765 form. Anyone else having problems with this?

I called about my wife's SS card and they said they didn't have her name and I'd have to wait 30 days from her EAD date and check back. I know we checked the box. Giving them their 30 days (end of next week) and going to try and escalate somehow if there's no movement.

Congrats! What did you tell them on the call?

Yesterday I spoke to a tier 1 representative, the rep informed me that the current EAD processing time is 3.5- 11.5 months, and I would have to wait. While AP processing is 3-5 months and the rep went ahead and filed for a service request.

I inquired about the status of my application and he told me that it was still under review but he would put in a service request for me because it was taking too long (Filed July 17, Biometrics Jan 8). He did note that after filing the request it was highly likely that they would approve the EAD card in the coming days (which they did after about 7 days) but it could take up to 30 days.

FINALLY got my biometrics appointment!!! Reached out to a senator here in Indiana and got the standard "we are waiting for the biometrics" response  from USCIS so I thought it didn't work (and it might not have). The week after, I received a schedule. So haaaappyyyyyy!!!!!!

I did a e-request to look into my AP on March 2nd and they gave me a "deadline" of March 19th to reply, and on March 15th my EAD/AP were both approved. Not sure it if was the e-request or just anything else that kickstarted the approval but it kinda makes me wonder.. PD, 8/8/2020.

Just got my SS card in the mail even though the SSA told me I wasn't in their system. Weird, but problem solved lol

This was how ours was updated:

We received the actual combo card on March 13, 2021 and the social security card arrived March 16th.  The "Card was delivered to me by the post office" update actually occurred on March 13th as well.

And congrats to everyone else too on all of the good news!! I am so excited to read that things are moving for others too!!! This has been so wild waiting this long.

Question, when the EAD is mailed out, do they provide a tracking number? I just want to ensure that it comes to my new address and not my old one.
