It didn't change to approve at all. It changed from expedite request (never submitted it since I have yet to find a job) on Feb 5th to card is being produced today.

"Case was approved" may be the next status. It looks like the case status tool programmers mixed up "Case was approved" with "New card is being produced":

 

So your Combo Card was approved today and will be produced very soon.

Will my status change after "Card is being Produced" for EAD? or is that it. Im wondering if they let you know when the card is shipped

We had our interview last Thursday in Boise and the status was changed to "New Card is being Produced"  today.

 

We went through both the I 130 and I 485 during the interview.  He only asked the basic questions, how did you meet, where did you go on your first date, when did you propose, have you met his/her family.    It would have been approved on the spot if I knew the difference between divorce papers and divorce decree as submitted my divorce papers from my previous marriage.   The interviewer gave us a RFE for the divorce decree as we were leaving and I mailed it to the field office the next day.

It changes from "Card is being produced" to "Case approved" to "Card was mailed" to "Card has been picked up by USPS". For AP just "Case was approved".

We had our interview today at the Nashville office. It was super quick and easy, even though I was expecting some scrutiny (since I came to the US on a B2 visa and I never got my EAD/SS number, meaning no bank accounts in our names, no bills in my name, no drivers license etc etc). The officer never said expressly that the green card was approved, but he did say everything looked good and that he would recommend the approval. An hour later, I checked the case status and it was updated to “new card being produced”!

 

We are happy and glad everything went well, but I’m still anxious about getting my SS number and being able to work!

My wife finally got her EAD card last night. We got notice it was approved earlier this week, then next thing I know its showing as shipped, scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, but arrived two days early (Detroit area). So at least some good new finally.

 

Does SSN normally follow? Should I call the SSN office? Last time they told me there was nothing they could do.

Congrats! Most people get their SSN 2 weeks after getting EAD. I wonder when we could call them to check if we're already in their system.
