Has anyone gotten EAD or an SSN number yet?

My wife had her biometrics this past December (Detroit). Checking the status they said they are getting ready to schedule her interview. No updates on EAD. I called the SSN office and since I filed for that with her AOS they said there is nothing they can do. Our offices were closed back then so I didn't have a choice at the time.

At this point she'll have her green card before anything else.

I´m in the same situation, recently received my interview notice (schedule to the 25th of Feb), but had no updates on the EAD whatsoever since the bio appointment (on the 5th of Jan, 2021).

Our EAD status was changed to "New Card is Being Produced" today! Noticed the AP status remains the same as "Case was Received" though.

If we applied for EAD + AP as a combo card, is it normal for only the EAD status to show the card is being produced?

Congrats! That’s awesome. And yes that’s normal. You should get the combo cards and the AP will update later

did you expedite your case?

Does anyone know where I can get “Haemophilus influenzae type B” vaccine? It’s required for the greencard application. The doctor told me I can get vaccinated at any pharmacy, but I didn’t see this one on CVS or Walgreens. Thank you!!

Nvm I just found out i don't need this vaccine for my age...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I thought I'd be used to the waiting, but no work permit or ssn is frustrating after almost a year.

You are not alone on that!!!! As much as we try to remind ourselves that at least we are finally in the same country and we are safe and healthy and all these blessing that at least we are at this stage and so much closer than when we were at the K1 stage especially with how bad it is for them now with COVID, we feel very lucky.  But at the same time it's really really hard seeing so many people get their combo cards and then also financially not knowing how many more weeks we can afford with the little savings we have left.  And not seeing any status change.  We are hating the waiting.  Used to it, but also not used to it at all!!! I think I check the mailbox and online three times some days and I know that won't make it come any quicker.  I know the mailman only comes once around the same time everyday.  But I don't know what else to do sometimes.....and I just realized I haven't checked today... so brb 😂😂

Carry proof of your marriage to your US citizen spouse: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/u-s-visa-and-travel-faqs/

If you travel, please follow the steps below:

  • Do not attempt to check in for your flight online if you have an ESTA registration.
  • Arrive early for your flight.
  • Carry as many original documents as you have available that you believe demonstrate why you have been excepted from a travel restriction, such as a Permanent Resident Card (commonly known as a Green Card), a marriage certificate, or a birth certificate. We are unable to provide guidance about your documents or whether copies will be considered sufficient as such questions are a matter for CBP when you travel.
  • You may also wish to carry a printed copy of the Presidential Proclamation itself.
  • Your status will be reviewed in consultation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials. Please note that smaller airports may not have CBP officials on site.
  • If applicable in your case, your ESTA will be reinstated in order to allow you to board.

You'll also need "proof of a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19" before returning to the US: https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/fr-proof-negative-test.html
