i want to renew my EAd how much do i need to pay? Do i include biometric?

If you paid the full fee for I-485, then I-765 and I-131 are free for renewal: https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator

Select a form: "I-765"

Provide your age at the time USCIS receives your application: <Age>

Reason for filing: "Renewal"

Filing Category: "EAD Applicants Who Have Filed for Adjustment of Status" "(c)(9)"

Did you file your pending I-485 on or after July 30, 2007? "Yes"

Did you pay the I-485 required application fee? "Yes"

Select a form that you want to file with I-765: "I-131"

Application Type: "Temporary foreign travel"

Total: $0.00

Hey, everyone! USCIS received our case on July 1st (marriage-based I-485 along with I-765 and I-131 petitions). I was able to get a biometrics appointment (Code 3, specifying that it was for the I-485 and I-765) for October 6 and it was successful. They took my fingerprints for all 10 fingers. There has been no update on my case online though (no change from "case was received" to "fingerprints were applied"). When I called USCIS, an agent told me that he sees the fingerprints for the EAD (I-765) but not for the AoS (I-485) and the AP (I-131). He told me not to worry though because they'll use the biometrics on any case for the rest of my cases....

Do you guys know if this is normal and how long one usually waits after biometrics for the EAD/AP approval?

Hello July filers! I’ve been following this thread since it was created but have not replied to it yet. I submitted forms I-130, I-485, I-693 & I-765 on July 17th to the Chicago lockbox, however my online account did not show the case was received until August 18th, I received NOAs a few days later. My check was cashed around the second week of August. I-485 updated on Aug 25th to show fingerprints were taken (I’ve had DACA since 2012 so lots of biometrics appointments done regularly). I-485 on Oct 14th online update says case is ready to be scheduled for interview, and Oct 16th interview was scheduled. I am now waiting for my interview letter!!!

I-765 also updated showing fingerprints were taken, I did not require biometrics appointment for it either.

I-130 still only says case was received on Aug 18th. Not sure if it will be processed before or after interview? I have not seen any other case quite like mine in the threads I’ve been following.

I tried to update my timeline on my profile but it keeps saying there’s an error. My timeline is going a bit fast, but I also live in Alaska so I assume there is not much traffic in my local office.

Good luck everyone on your journey! I will update when I receive the interview date letter!

Hello. Has anyone started with their medical exam? Do you know which part of medical exam can be covered by health insurance? We have a Kaiser HMO.

You can have your vaccine done through your insurance. But the exam can only be conducted by the USCIS doctor and he may/may not accept insurance for that.

You only need Tdap, MMR, Flu (seasonal) and Chickenpox vaccinations (if you never had chickenpox in your life). Assuming you are > 18 years age.

Thanks for this!

I had flu shot weeks ago from kaiser but didnt get any documentation or record for it🤦‍♀️ didnt know that flu shot was required for i693. I suppose it's safe to get 2 flu shots in the same season

You can call Kaiser and ask for the documentation or some sort of receipt that you got the flu shot. USCIS doctor just need to know that you got the seasonal flu shot. You can show doctor your Kaiser medical record as well.

Wish I can create a poll but how many of you July filers have received their EAD/AP biometric appointment?

My fingerprint fees were accepted 3+ months ago and still there is no news.

Where do you live? Some people have waited longer because of covid. It could be a delay with your local USCIS office.

you should contact USCIS to see if they have requested an appointment for you

I'm in NYC and yes I think they only reopened in July.

Yup, maybe I'll try to speak to a live representative as some people here did.

Just spoke to a representative. If your NOA date AND local service center opening date are more than 90 days, you can file an e-Request (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do).

Select the "Did not receive notice by mail" inquiry type and fill in the form.
