Great. So the representative said that they will raise a service request for your biometrics (if not being scheduled) when the 90 days of re-opening have passed. Correct? So, will you call them next week and possible raise a service request to them?

I don't think I need to call them again, just filling out the form should be fine. They sent me the link of the form, you can find it on uscis website too. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do;jsessionid=A15171E940D40943E6E31B4955A3EFB3

Which option to select for the enquiry related to biometrics? Case outside processing time?

Congrats @Sinead91.. Did you receive a status update online for any of your biometric appointments at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do?

Not yet 😕 I will do my 485 biometrics next week so hopefully that will update. I don’t know if the EAD updates to fingerprints or goes to “approved” straight away. We shall see!

Filed: AOS (pnd) Country: Uganda
Timeline

Just spoke to a representative:

They said that the Application Support Center (ASC) in New York only opened on Jul 20th 2020, and it will be after Oct 20th 2020 before I can get a biometric appointment. No idea why there is a seemingly arbitrary 90-day delay, and they didn't say anything specific to my application.

Hope this is helpful for other NYC applicants!

I spoke to a live representative through Emma today about whether we had a biometrics appt scheduled yet. He said that since over 90 days had passed since the office reopened (7/12/20), he would do a service request for me. Then he gave me a service request confirmation #. He said we should hear something in 15-30 days.

Has anyone else done this, and did it work?

Thank you for this. Although I was told that the Brooklyn ASC opened on July 13th, they couldn't provide me any information if there has been any AOS biometrics scheduled here. So far no biometric appointment. I chatted with a live agent at emma. They opened a information request from the field office regarding biometric appointment, they asked me to wait for 30 days before inquiring again.
