Yup, I'm adjusting from K1. From what I've seen online, it seems like a lot of K1 filers eventually have to re-do their medical exams before their interviews though since it takes so long to schedule them.

No. The K-1 medical should already be in the A-file and what matters is that I-485 is filed within 1 year of the K-1 medical: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-3 "An applicant’s overseas medical examination report completed by a panel physician should already be in the applicant’s A-file."

"K or V Nonimmigrants Applying for Adjustment

K and V nonimmigrants applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical examination if the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical examination, and:

  • The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition; or

  • The applicant received a conditional waiver in conjunction with the K or V nonimmigrant visa or the change of status to V and the applicant submits evidence of compliance with the waiver terms and conditions."

That's good to know! Thanks!

Also anyone from Seattle WA?

I submitted our packet for AOS a month after this thread (August 2019) and have only seen that we are approved pending an AOS interview which they will schedule and notify of via mail.  No more communications since that tracker update in October 2019.

I mailed her EAD renewal earlier this month.

We expect to be interviewing in Seattle, live in Tacoma currently.

Thanks for the info. It seems that Seattle ASC is a joke itself. For family based interviews can take even 18months maybe more. This is insane :(

Hope you receive your interview notice the sooner possible!

AP request based on pending I-485 doesn't require biometrics. Only AP request done outside the US based on humanitarian reasons or for significant public benefit requires biometrics: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-131instr.pdf Page 12

It says

“Case Type: i765 Application for Employment Authorization” and that’s it?

edit: I just read what you posted in the link :) thanks!

Usually it says I-485 and I-765:

Does your notice say 3 in the "CODE" box?

No it’s says Code 2, and doesn’t list i485 😕

Looks like recently they've been sending 2 separate notices:

Code 3 biometrics is picture, signature, and all ten fingerprints. Code 2 biometrics is picture, signature, and just the index fingerprint.
