I’m Buffalo, NY and still waiting for biometrics. End of October will be the 90 day mark for me, I’ve been checking online with Emma on a weekly basis just to see if an appointment has been scheduled

I see. Does the 90 days mark apply for new applicants like July or August applicants or only for those whose appointments have been cancelled? I didn't truly get that part :(

If it applies for new applicants that USCIS will have to send appointment letter to all of us BEFORE end of Oct. ;)

There isn't anything that compels USCIS to act within "90 days." If after many months, the specific case (I-765, I-131, or I-485) has gone beyond official processing times a case inquiry can be submitted. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

The 90 days mark is regarding Biometrics appointment and not for final approval - actions. USCIS announced they will have scheduled appointments before 90 days of ASC opening. This is the idea I guess behind it.

That announcement is only for individuals that had canceled Bio appointments because of the Covid closures. That being said, you could still try calling that number and hope they are able to issue an appointment.

I can’t agree more. This is what I tried to say. This number is for cancelled appointments. Of course we get an idea that for the first 90 days USCIS will try to “clean” most of the backlogged mess. Who knows of course ;)

I feel the frustration. I received my I-693 notice august 11 also still waiting on biometrics. (Typing this while on hold with USCIS to ask if they see something in their system. Crossing fingers but prepared for the standard answer)

This is what I'm afraid of as well being from NYC. No movement after the I-693 notice.

Please update us when you get the chance to talk to a re. Hopefully you get some good news :)

What does this really mean :( I cannot understand all this non consistency with the biometric appointments. It is so sad and add stress to all the applicants.

Yeah I know but what the said to me it mostly depends on where you asc is. If your asc is a busy one (high immigration area sort of speak)

You will have to wait longer for your appointment because of the bigger backlog. Compaired to if you live in a area with a lower number)

Hence a july filler a low area can have his appointment in 30 days and in a high area in 90 days.

An asc can only process a limited amount of ppl a day with the social distancing policy.

I think I called on a Thursday and had it the following Thursday! :) and it was free

I know this is probably a long shot, but do you happen to know the number you called to request this? I mailed a request to them in the post 3 weeks ago and have had no response!
