You got RFE for?

My first packet was rejected due to "missing forms". I stupidly placed my packets into 2 different USPS envelopes then placed them in the USPS box. For some reason, they said my packet was incomplete even though the same person signed for all my forms. LOL

Last Sat, I got an update on my account saying they sent me an RFIE. I am still waiting for the notice in the mail. I tried to see if I could do e-request but apparently, it has to be over 30 days since the notice. I was wondering if I could just call up USCIS customer service and see if they could email it to me instead. With all the USPS delays, God knows when I'll receive the hard copy :(

Usually RFIE is around missing some minor stuff in the AOS package. Did you sent I-693 medical?

I haven't. I was planning to do it once I have an interview scheduled. I know I might be getting the RFIE due to my birth certificate. I immediately ordered an updated birth certificate from my country when I found out that the "NSO" stamp is no longer accepted. I have it ready for sending if in case that's what they need. Other than that, it might be for the I-693 unless there is a different status on USCIS for it. I just wish they would send it via email instead of USPS. It's more efficient and cheaper. LOL

Ohh yeah could be due to birth certificate. I have no clue why USCIS is not making use of the information on G-1145 for sending email notifications.

Wish you good luck and hope RFIE is about some minor issue that can easily be resolved.

USCIS usually send email notification for premium processing applications for employment based. Like my employer got email alerts/approval through email when they applied for my I-140.

But since for family based applications there is no premium processing option.

I heard about that as well. I'm just afraid that the furlough would happen eventually and we'll all be stuck here longer. I just want to work again. This is the longest I've been unemployed. LOL

No RFE yet either. Our ASC is Raleigh NC, so hoping it wouldn't be too busy like big cities.

Mine took 34 days to cash the check i called every single day after day 29 , it did not show up on their system until payment was cleared so i guess no news is good news! Still kinda early for you

Still no news from USCIS, no checks cashed or NOAs received. Does the fact that I entered as a tourist have anything to do with the delay in the NOA?

@Jacobo no b1b2 does not interferes with the processing times, you tried to call the USCIS ? How long has it been?

I did communicate with them yesterday through USCIS web site and chatted with a Live Agent who asked me my name, date of birth, mailing address and whether the checks were already cashed or not.

She said that she could not find me in the system and the package might could be still being processed by the Lockbox. I was a little relieved because luckily she didn't find a rejected package in the system.

They received my I-130/I-485 package on August 1st (surprisingly a Saturday), so it has been 25 days today.
