Our AOS package was delivered to USCIS Chicago Lockbox on 7/2/2020. With the upcoming furloughs and pandemic, have no idea how long AOS will take, or even get my EAD and AP.

Yeah, I was trying to get my package ready before the furloughs, but some of these documents took soooo long. Hopefully luck is on our side and our APs and EADs are able to be processed at least while we wait for the aos

Yeah, really worried about the EAD processing. I don't mind waiting for my green card but I need my EAD lol.

Being stuck at home is definitely no fun at all! I’m hoping for the AP and EAD to be approved ASAP, like you in ok to wait for the green card lol

No problem at all! I’m just waiting for a couple more docs and I’ll hopefully finally be ready to send mine out in the next week or so too!

I’m hoping everything runs smoothly on your AOS journey!

@BriberryThank you so much for creating this thread! I'm waiting for a couple more docs too and hope I will be ready to send mine out before the end of July! My wife had to redo her medical exam here and they are taking so long with the documents.

@Justin & Sara you’re welcome! Is July filters needed a thread too! Lol.

Hopefully we both get our docs on time to submit these packages ASAP. Good luck and be sure to keep us updated when you do send it out. 😊

Be sure to double check for the current fees as fees do sometimes increase, so please check. Additionally check the forms as listed above i.e., current version and or edition date, there has been changes to various forms since February 24, 2020. Consider sending tax transcripts instead of the 1040, and W2's. Also consider preparing a cover letter for each form in addition to the main cover letter.

Make sure you send long form birth certificates and not the short form. IMPORTANT: Form I-944 has quite a bit of supporting documents that go with it depending on your situation, be sure to read the instructions for this form carefully. Many people have gotten a RFE for this form so be sure to pay CLOSE attention when filing it out. Hope this helps in your preparation of your AOS. When in doubt ask questions.

Wow, this looks like nearly as much work as the original application!

How long does it typically take following submission of this before you get your Social Security number?

Hello to everyone!

We got rejected last time because of I-944 that we missed out, they did say that the filing fee was wrong even though we checked it twice on USCIS.  Refiling next week. Trying to get everything right this time; I944 sure is a pain though.

I don't have my original high school diploma and it's next to impossible to get it. Apparently it is required for evaluation for equivalency and I could not be more freaked out. Any insights?? I have all the required proof that I have been professionally active for a decade, more in fact. Could the absence of High School Diploma evaluation cause a problem?

Wish you all smooth sailing! Good news for anyone is hope for everyone else

Hello July AOS Filers,

For the I-944 form supporting documents, my wife provided a "Lack of credit score report explanation" letter explaining why she don't have a credit score. We wanted to add a screenshot showing proof, but she is not able to obtain her SS number/card due to COVID-19. I just wanted to see what everyone else is doing for this part.

Also, form I-765 expired on 5/30/2020 and I couldn't find an updated form. I read on the USCIS website that this is the most updated form. Have anyone found an updated form? Or is this still validate?
